Default Spotted in Newcastle area

A mate just sent me a pic he took yesterday, someone was enjoying a drive around the Newcastle area.
Anyone know (or own) the car?
My mate said he heard it a long time before he saw it.

Know the car as it was at the Nats a couple of years ago. The guy also flew in in his private chopper as well while the crew bought the car down. Won't publish names on this forum though.

Good luck to him I say.

Cheers

Boxhead,

That is a well known Classic Revival from up Newcastle way. Has a very slick interior.

It has a fairly serious LX stroker too from memory.

Does the owner look or lurk around here?

In any case, my mate was suitably impressed when he heard then saw it.

Wow, although it is a little bright for me, that interior is fantastic! Does anyone know what type of seats they are?

Yeah I went up to his place whilst he was having it built. He took the hand railing off a stairwell in the garage/pool room to create a 'pit' I think he used a lot of ideas off a Nissan 350Z...look at the pockets in the centre console...they are 350Z bits. The seats are similar with the side bars and the little crotch lump as well.

It certainly is very neat and tidy. I'll have to check out those seats and I also like the wrap around trim. A very nice finish indeed.

Nice modern trimming and shows great skill by the upholsterer. The boot/trunk is also huge. However, I can understand why one would cover a Chevvie, but what is that cover from? It seems an unusual colour/pattern?

I dont know whats going on here Merv - but I agree with you. The turtle sheel covers are pretty hideous - and the paint job on it just makes it worse. There are some tastefull ways to dress up a LS motor but stock they are not pretty. I dont remember seeing that on there last time I saw it so I think he has binned it.

Great looking car, but not sure about the engine cover and heat shields on the side pipes.

Amazing work on the interior.
