You will laugh at me, but this stuff works and my engineer had no issue with its use.

Google CAR BUILDER SOLUTIONS in the UK. I have ordered 1m 2in hose, and a joiner. Meant to be super flexible, looks flexi in the photo. Mine is on order, hope to get it in the next week or two!

I think your build is awesome. The lengthening of the chaise will greatly improve the handling. You can come play in my shop any time. Do you have an idea of the weight yet and the front to rear yet?

Thanks for the comments:
Boxhead - The hose only needs to be 200mm long but have a 90 bend, so I think flexible is really the only way to go.
Sevenohms - Motorsport Connectors are here in Sydney so for me it's probably easier to get it from them, thanks anyway.
Bill - I would LOVE to play in your workshop rather than my single car garage but I think the logistics associated might be a wee bit too much! I'll be in CA next year on my way to the Indy 500 so I might drop by for a chat and a Bud. I expect the car to be around 1050kg (2300lbs) and based on other 240z/LSx combinations using the same engine mounts etc, the distribution should be very close to 50/50. The stretched wheelbase might be a later option but for now I just want to get my health back and GET THE BLOODY THING FINISHED.

Enzed will have something. They have shops all over Australia. There prices aren't the cheapest but for the small amount it shouldn't be much. I am using stainless tube and bends with a couple of small bit of hose for joiners at tank and filler.

Peter
I tried to get something flexible and ended up at Enzed. They said the only flexible thing that would handle fuel was marine exhaust tube. I got some but it was not flexible enough. Ended up making this up:

Try marine / boat / jetski places as they may have fuel hose suitable.
My jetski fuel tank hose had nice length with a 45 and a 90 degree bend. Cant remember the i.d.
edit..... I just had a look on ebay... there are many there so something may be suitable.

Ring 'purple pig' and ask for 'radcoflex' flexible convoluted stainless hose.
I use it for flexible gas lines it comes in 32,40 & 50mm dia. Mine are usually fitted with ends but you should be able to buy it by the meter.
Comes in braided too if you want some bling
I have used it for my filler pipe and has been fine for years now.

Progress – My cardiologist gave me the thumbs-up… well, she raised her index finger and mumbled something – so work has recommenced.
I have placed a 40x40mm tube along the existing sill so that it contacts the base both the 'A' and 'B' pillars
I removed the outer portion of the rear wheel arch and trimmed the guard opening to suit.
I attached the new (wider) sill.
I discover that I couldn't open the door - D'oh. I had to rework the area below the hinges. The area is covered by the front fibreglass guard when all is finished.
I made up new rear tubs.
I made up strips to attach the tubs to the original guards.
I made a new panel for the latch area.
I had a beer and went to bed!

Are you sure it's the shed?
If it is its very cosy with those lovely rugs/runners.
I wish I was working in such a warm environment.

'A SHED'... luxury. It's only a timber frame with a bit of cladding but it's a shed to me.
I'm worried if Aussie Mike sees this spacious hi-tech facility he might get envious.

I kinda feel like you guys (gals) when your kit first arrives.
Hopeful that all the R&D is over and I can commence the final assembly. It's back on the rotisserie so that various new panels can be 'down' welded - not a fan of overhead welding! After that a bit on sealer sprayed on the underside and the interior sprayed, then back onto its wheels to fit and prep the bodywork.

Isn't it great when a big package arrives from the US... and, your wife isn't home!
