Orphan
I have another CR kit that I am building; I have called it the orphan as it doesn't have a home.
A long story short this was to be my race car, it is the older CR chassis so that all the go fast bits could be swapped over. Well that plan is now abandoned and I will build the car and sell it when completed. I will see what interest I get and then will decide what state to progress with engineering and registration.
I have put some work into it now as it will be going into paint in a couple of weeks. I have it booked in with Contagous Paint, the guy who painted Beejays car. It will be Guardsman blue with wimbeldon white stripes.
All components in the car are brand new, except for the steering column.
The specs:
LS3 Crate Motor
Edelbrock competition Water Pump
Custom intake
Gilmer accessory drive.
Aluminium radiator
TKO 600
Hydraulic throw out bearing.
LSD 3.45
Jag front AU independent rear.
Team 3 Halibrand replica wheels.
AVO Coilovers
Heater demister

Good luck with the project Philm, I'm sure you'll find some foster parents for her.
Just a quick question - If it's a CR how did you get that amount dish in the wheels?
Looks good, and in my humble opinion, a marked improvement on the typical CR wheel dish.
Best of luck

The wheels are great, Team 3 worked with me on what I wanted to maximize the front face. We even altered the spinner knock offs so they fit inside the rim.
When you look at the car the wheels work and the lack of dish is not as obvious.
Phil

Hey Phil,
Would you have some specs for what you did with the front wheels, The details would be good for those struggling with the limited offset,
thanks

Dave,
The orphan is the old chassis with the Jag front, so I am not sure what I did will help.
Jethrow,
I will keep that to myself for a while, it is a very unique set up and I am not sure it works yet.
Phil

Phil has a ford motor without a ford part - so why not a holden made by Edelbrock? The rocker covers look really cool.
This is an awesome build in the flesh - and will be a top cobra when finished with a lot of very very nice quality touches. More like the "awesome" then the orphan

I must be really loosing the plot, I can see the edelbrock air filter cover, but buggered if I can see the manifold or throttle setup.
Or maybe my xray goggles have failed, and I can not see through the air cleaner, Oh well.

Boys Don't look to hard, you actually can't see what is going on.
The tape is just covering injectors as the fuel rail is removed.
