Default Header advise please

Well the old 302 is out and the 347 is just about ready to be dropped in momentarily for measurements etc.

As you can see the old donk sported the standard exhaust manifold which will not do for the heads on the new engine.

We're running Eddlebrock Victor Jr. heads and there is very little space in the engine bay so my question is this...

Does anyone know of any off the shelf headers to suit these heads that hug the block?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Wouldn't standard Windsor block buggers fit the heads?

Yeah, they'll fit on but they cover about 20% of the apature of the exhaust port
I'm hoping that there is an off the shelf item that will not choke the flow and still remain relatively tight on the block. Perhaps ceramic coated inside and out?

Check out the Mustang sites Scott Drake has several. I got some nickel plated, and are 1 5/8" primary. JBA do some as well these are both shortie style headers.

There was an earlier thread I believe by Trevor, who did the same thing recently. Also block huggers

youve spent the money on the engine, so do it justice and have a custom set built, ive got similer engines in my xy ute and my cobra same heads etc, for that combo 1 3/4 inch primaries at the port then stepped up to 1 7/8 inch, 32 to 34 inches long 4 into 1,to build maximum torque, anything less is a compromise. i also notice youre using a super victor intake, you are also going to lose low end torque with that manifold so i wouldnt suggest block huggers or shorties if you dont want a double whammy, a victor junior manifold or even a performer would probably work better on a 347 for street use, but i dont know youre engine specs or what its intended use is. cheers
