Ash, at least we rebuild not replace.

Do you guys keep the boxes these engines come in so you can return them when parts start to fall out the sides?

Would you like another glass of Grange ash?

Nah, we throw them out like used frangers,
Loads of fun during use, makes the event far safer and more reliable, they are cheap and affordable and on the odd occasion if one fails throw on another.

Sure Phil, nothing but the best for the best... (engines)

Nationals count.... LS engines - 2 broke - Real Ford engines - 0 broke

Ten Berocca...... I'll try and find out what the rebuild cost for the 1000hp LS was.....

Hmmmmmmm, Sounds to me like these big budget super serious ford boys are getting a bit nervous that a couple of rookies on street tyres, stock brakes and 4k cardboard box engines with about 6 track days between us were reeling off 10's. Imagine if I learned how to drive........might call spook for some pointers.... (too soon?)

I did not hear of any LS failures at the Nationals?

Some failed before, but if I go back and search threads on here, I reckon there was a number of Fraud rebuilds, including the King himself (I think the Bunnings car and the concrete car where getting too close for comfort)

I thought an LS turned itself inside out at the nationals.

Andrew I know how impressed you were about your lap time and how you pranced right up to one of your competitors wives and said, my dick is 2 tenths bigger than your husbands.

No not worried we were doing 10s 4 years ago, welcome to the LS popping 60's Wakefield lap times boys.

Yep Gary Hall in his BDM cobra succumbed to oil surge trying to catch a little 302 Windsor (Peter Hancock) up the hill. I heard a rumour he was picking up an LS7 cardboard box engine on the way back thru Sydney... Dry sump should fix oil surge....

Who knows Phil, maybe those cardboard box engines might even make it into the 1:30's at Winton one day....... given enough practice....

I have it on good authority that this competitors wife set Andrew straight on sizing possibilities.

There is no shame in being within a few 1/10th of someone of Kim "Bratwurst" Downs stature......
