Default DaveW's Classic Revival CR3514

Hey guys, I always struggle with posting photos into my previous thread on here, so like Modena (Ben), I've created a blog.

Classic Revival Cobra AC427 CR3514

I've back dated some posts so you can see the history.

You can get email updates to this each time i update.

Like Ben, i'll try and get a live feed picture up and going, just need a bit of education on I.T.

This week I've mounted my shocks, at the moment, i'm working on the rack and the brakes.
I've recieved my rear calipers, AP racing CP5147, and can now finalize the design of the mounting brackets.
I will be fitting these to Ford Territory rear discs, 328x28, as the calipers wont fit on anything smaller due to the size of the VE Knuckle Caliper mountings. More pics soon.

Dave

Thumbs up Very nice

Looks great Dave. Talk about attention to detail! Will follow with interest.

I notice the date at the top of each post is black on gray and a bit hard to read. Might be worth going with a lighter colour?

Chassis looks great.

Did you do a trial fit before paint an assembly?

Zedn,
No, not really, did some measurements to make sure it was square and the suspension points were in the right spot, trial fit the diff and arms, that was about it,

I expect i'll have a few touch ups as i go,

Dave

A great blog, and as I've just ordered a CR kit this week, it will be great to watch your progress and learn from someone who is 18 months ahead of me with the build. I look forward to learning of all the solutions before I encounter the problems!

Did you feedback to Ian the issues with weld spatter, lack of sand blasting and paint adhesion issues with the chassis - I don't like to have to pay for things twice!

Oilman,
Congrats on the big step, You have some yet unknown friends down this way who are more than willing to support.
I'll send you a PM with my email and some comments.
I've only been at this since January, 28th actually, 10 months, if its 18 i need a slapping for slaking off.
Half the fun is watching others progress as well, so a blog and posts is a good way to keep motivated and progressing.

What level of kit have you purchased, what donk are you intending to fit ?

See PM i sent you.

Dave
