Australian Recreational & Ultralight Aircraft For Sale Online

They tell me these are better and faster.

Just done a Wings Wheels day and they were trying to convince me...

The Esqual is a Cobra, the 210 a stationwagon...both useful in their own way.

Cheers

The 210 is a station wagon and a bloody quick one, mine, TAS 175. Esquel 115 and 2 POB I would not call it fast, so therefore the comparison to a cobra is definately not justified. If I was going to make the comparison to a cobra I would say RV8 or Glasair.

Am surprised, thought the Esquel would top 115. Even the Cutlass I used to drive did better than that. You're right though, the RV is the Cobra equivalent

Cheers

No hands down the Lancair...

Cessna 210 n turbo can do it though.. for me at 300km/h plus...

The Lancair still holds the fastest for the round Australia. Think I saw figures like 510km/h average and good fuel use also. But limited to around 250kg

The Esqual is appealing to the RA pilot that wants the RA aircraft with a reasonable passenger and fuel but still within the MTOW of 600kg

Beats the speed cameras and the cops every time.

Even after doing a wings wheels event I have a healthy understanding of this organization called CASPER.. (in jest) I thought it was hard dealing with Councils and Governments. .. but the limits and blue tape this organization puts on the industry is unbelievable.

Oooh well looks like I will be trading GT40 rides for spins in planes...

The one I am staying well clear of is this Pitts S2 thing that is best described as a kid on red cordial..

In true Cobra owner style I had to put a bigger engine in, so I installed a 550 cu in donk as opposed to the original 520 cu in engine. It is good for 170-175 kt TAS which is above the 300kmh mark. You are spot on with the Lancair, what a rocket. But when it comes to RA whats wrong with our home grown Jabiru ?

That thing is insane! He says he only has had to bail out twice... That's 2 times too many for me. You can buy the kit and build it yourself. I reckon the test flight would have you sitting a couple of inches higher in the seat after you crap yourself !!!

Bernie,
Happy for you to have a fly of the 210 if I can get a ride in that GT40 of yours.

Thumbs up

Bernie,
When I moved from Arizona I sold my BD-5j and my BD-5b.
I got them built to about 70 percent . I just got too fat to fit.
Bob Bishop was my neighbor at Eagle Roost Airpark in Aguila, AZ where I own
A 5 acre lot across the runway from his house. I was there When they shot that video.
I have built more experimental aircraft than cars. I luv to
fly. Here is what you need in Australia. This is the best all around
kit plane there is. Pay attention to the landing and takeoff distances

STOL CH 750 light sport utility airplane from Zenith Aircraft Company - the ultimate short take-off and landing sport kitplane - Sport Pilot Ready

That's awesome Hersh.

30M to take off and 38M to land. I could fly that in and out of my back yard.

Cheers

Mike,
With your talents you could build that kit in a month. I
flew a CH-701 which is the first generation and it was
Easy but took some getting used to on the short landings
