As for Bognor Regis - hmm, maybe the name is a bit more exciting than the place! Most things close at 6pm :-) Not much to recommend it. A lot of B&B in the Worthing area most of which suppply a 'full English' fry-up breakfast to get you through the day. (Bring lots of money for food at the circuit!! They don't do 1940s prices unfortunately.) If you can book well in advance (now) then try Chichester first as you can practically walk to the track! Pulborough, Petworth and Midhurst are worth considering, north and east of the circuit. Brighton is way better for restaurants/night life/gay bars (ooops)....
Trevor, we do now have a tEsco store at the Revival, food is very reasonably priced there .

I would think there's about 5 or 6 teams in England racing CSX2000-era Cobras, and at least one team each from countries like Germany, France and Japan, so I am hopingthe Americans can field 4 or 5 cars with a racing history as well. I worry about rain , it being England, but on the other hand they've had very warm summers in recent years so maybe it'll be nice fall weather.

Did you know that Lord March (who owns the grounds and the whole event) has rules about clothing? He wants you to dress period--does that mean the famous Brock-designed COBRA T-shirts will be allowed?

PS One great thing about this event is that, since the course was once an RAF airfield, there's lots of emphasis on aeroplanes and Spitfires galore...
You dont not have to wear vintage clothing at the Revival, and from previous experience ( Ive been to all 14 revivals} they certainly wont race the Cobras in other races.

Guys

I've received the wonderful looking information pack with our Woodcote grand stand seat tickets enclosed.

Oddly I did two transactions, the above was the second so I am still expecting our general entry tickets and Lavant stand tickets for Saturday.

However the information pack is very well done as a replica period document with faux wear marks and all. A glimpse of the period detail they are going to obviously.

Clearly we need to make a plan to all catch up sometime over the weekend whether at the track or afterwards.

Cheers

Steve

Sorry Jatabsen is that a question or a statement?

If a question it is an excellent idea to attend this event, the main driver for us being an all cobra race event.

However the spectacle of door handle to door handle 60's classics racing flat out and the odd WW2 aircraft coming and going can't be missed.

Get there if you can!

Got my second pack tonight with the entry tickets and Lavant stand passes and a second old time folder.

Just got to remember to pack this lot.

If you picked that as an Ezibuy catalogue from the tiny piece you can see, I think you must have 1 or 2 floating around your place.

MEMORIAL TROPHY ‘NIGHT RACE’ RETURNS
Special permission has been granted to extend the racing longer into the Friday evening than normal, bringing back to Goodwood the magical sight of 1950s sports cars racing in the autumnal twilight with headlamps ablaze, just as they did in period. It promises to remain one of the most unforgettable races at the Revival to date.

I am just starting to look at car hire mobs.
Any recomendations?
I want something that will be comfortable for 2 people, and 2 suitcases, travelling up through Scotland etc
Looking at 21/08/2012 till 06/09/2012 (then over to Denmark for a few days) and pick up again for 10/09/2012 till 17/09/2012

How big/small is a BMW 120D?
Or a VW Golf 2 door? (both these are similar prices)
