I can't add alot to the above photos but Sunday was incredible. So many Cobras, a Daytona and Willment(sp) Coupe side by side. Important cars of every variety, even a couple of Porsche 904's. Missed Saturday's Cobra Cup but the paddocks were unbelievable and the races were even better. The GTO's (10 plus) and Silver Arrows, not to mention the Saloons, bikes, GT's (very fast XKE's) and F1 hardware were out of this world. As an American (and Southern Californian) I thought the tribute to Dan Gurney was particularly moving. All I can say is WOW! All this and flybys from the WWII planes really made for an incredible day. I'm sure I'm missing a great deal but it doesn't get much better than this I suppose. Highly recommended!
Walking through the pits near the end of the day, we went for a final look at the incredible collection of pre-WW2 Auto Union and Mercedes grand priz cars. They had just done some laps of the track (Jacky Ickx was getting one of them sideways through the Woodcote corner and having a great time!) This was their last track time, but rather than taking them straight to their transporters, the mechanics arranged the cars in such a way that the public could look right over the cars to really appreciate the jaw dropping details of each priceless vehicle.
They also seemed (at least by the smell) to be running some kind of jungle juice for fuel, so they fired up a couple to clear out the alcohol and get some less corrosive fuel into the lines prior to transporting them home.
Here's a closeup view of the supercharged V16 starting up in the pits. Wow!
I will also add that Ronda is keen to return next year, may have to find a WWII Australian Army/Airforce clothing, or old racecar mechanics overalls.
- dont make them too old - I was told my 'authentic' biker t-shirt with a small 1" tear at the neck, hidden underneath my leather jacket, was unsuitable attire by the old dragon at the paddock who initially refused me entry. I stripped and replaced it with another, to the amusement of on-lookers.

Ok, so the first few are not cars, but what a great sight they are.
I found this fella late Sunday, he was selling books with sketches and water colors he had done, he would add a quick sketch for buyers for free, I had a piccie of my Cobra in my phone so he did that for me.
