They have only done 2,000 k's, but I'm thinking of increasing the height of my rear tyres when they come due to around a 315/45/17. I have checked the Tirerack Website in Indiana and it doesn't appear that B.F. Goodrich or any other tyre manufacturer make such a tyre. The only way to get that chunky look on the rear is to go back to 15" rims which I don't want to do. Any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated.

Baz

The other day I put an 18" (rim) tyre up against my Cobras' 15" (rim) Yokahama tyre and they were both the same diameter....just sidewall difference.....If you've got them big rims...fill em up with big brakes ! That was the original reason for the big rims.

Hi Baz,

You are probably already aware of it, but keep in mind that will require your speedo to be recalibrated.

Cheers.

Hi, everyone this is my new toy.
I got it in December and have put a whole 1500k's on it so far and loved every one.

I plan to make a few changes down the track, like a new colour scheme, interior roll bar just to name a few, when it comes to do that time I may have some questions for you all.

Welcome along Theo, and welcome to the madness that is owning a Cobra and modifying it to be "yours"

I think having the two open side "windows" to give prominence to the header pipes is a terrific feature. I'd often thought removing the louvres in the standard opening would look OK if the pipes were heat treated in a light colour, but your effect is sensational, and it's now obvious to me that the second opening is essential. Of course you now can't have heat wrapping on your pipes and you have to ensure that they're always nice and clean. Also I wonder if our over-enthusiastic law enforcement people would see this modification as another reason to be nasty, on the grounds that the pipes may be considered to be too exposed. Ah what the hell! It looks great.

OK, I didn't realize this was open to non-Aussies.

It's a Superformance MkIII, all iron 427FE, various mods (See profile). A fun toy!

Beautiful!

On my car I have a screen behind the front wheels to catch debris. No inner wheel wells. My frame is 16inches tall and comes to a V at the front. The air passes through the radiator and is diverted out the side of the car and exits through the double openings. My engine compartment is sealed. (except from the bottom)

The air must flow pretty well because my radiator is only 18 inches wide and 12 inches tall! It stands straight up. I have driven the car a lot on the street and some on a track and it never overheats. http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/...frtsuspsml.jpghttp://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/...ler34Front.jpghttp://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/...oller34Gas.jpg

TMI Boxhead...

It looks good, but it has it's faults...been chasing down lots of gremlins and fixing several maintenance issues. Should be good by this summer...then looking at new engine options for next winter (thinking Pond stroker).

So many great cars here, I'm honored to be able to hang with all of you.

Dan

Oh, and for you Aussies:

That's my daily driver next to it....it's a Holden Monaro (sold here in the US as a Pontiac GTO). I love that thing...best new car I've ever owned. Modded heavily...total sleeper. Solid, balanced, love it.

Hi Dan,

clearly you are a man of great taste with that car collection you have!

I am considering yellow for my build - what colour yellow is that? Looks great.
