I rang VIPAC and they confirmed it is a warm test, so the engine will be close to ideal running temp before the test.
Booked in for next Tuesday morning, wish me luck.

Good Luck! Fang it (legally of course) on the way there to get them nice and hot, and try to start the idle early before the test!

No more waiting in the side room at VIPAC - "take a walk" apparently due to OH&S. Fingers crossed!

PASS.
Just. Running a bit lean and the NOx was close to the limit. Not detrimental to the engine according to the tester, just on the lean side.
Here are the numbers with the limits next to them.
THC 0.032 (0.26)
NOx 0.565 (0.63)
CO 0.164 (2.1)
Averaged 10.48 L/100km which I thought was OK.
Our friends at VIPAC got a pay rise on 1 Jan, the test is now $715 inc GST.

Fantastic news sambo, well done.
How do you know it used 10.48L/100km? Was that for the trip there, rollers, and back?

Thanks Modena. It's on the report - they must calculate it based on gasses collected?

Thanks to all, it certainly is a good feeling to have passed. If the car had been tested at last year's levels (50% of ADR 37/01) it would've failed again.
Doug, I'll start the official engineering process in earnest now. It probably won't be in the right "trim" for ShelbyFest but I am hoping to be there.

And some people think it's difficult to register these cars in California.
