Porcar
The Porsche wasn't really a regret, it was more out of need.
I needed a tow car/handymans car as the Daytona wasnt registered and I was selling a house that needed some work. I had the Porsche, Cobra and Daytona, 3 lovely cars yes but not that practicle. So the Porsche went to
a bloke from Canberra who blew up the alternator and cooling fan @ Glen Rowan on his way home ( $4k repair ).
He must have been trying to impress his new girlfriend on the drive to Canberra as the engine and gearbox needed attention when he finally got the car home.

Unique FIA 289
Oh my, the worst mistake I ever made. Sold my Unique Motorcars 289 Street roadster to a Dr in New Jersey, a year later he sold it at the Mecum Auction for exactly half of what I sold him the car for, never will I make the same mistake again.

Yeah, my first new car...a 1970 Hemi Cuda. Baddest car on the street on Saturday nights. Lots of memories left behind. Second was my little Sunbeam Tiger. Fun little car with V-8 sound and modest performance and good gas mileage. Took it to Ensenada Mexico and back from the Bay Area years ago. Ran great even though the trunk was full of tools and tape...just in case. Yes, the Cuda was the big one that got away.

My car, 35 years later. Been looking for it for years. I verified the VIN. The guy doesn't know what he has under the hood if it's the motor I built back then. I was a starving sudent. See attached ad that I put out in the LA Times back then. Just shoot me......

Hey Mike
Was fuelling my car up this morning opposite a TE50 exactly like the blue sedan earlier in this thread. A very nice looking piece of retro.
Beautiful exhaust note too both at start up & idle and as the old bloke took off down the road.
Makes me now sort of wish I'd chased one of those stroker motors instead of the AU 220kw version I ended up getting for the cobra.
However past events mean I have an absolutely fresh motor still awaiting first start, so perhaps I'll just work on exhaust improvements for now to better the noise.

Pictures......
Slowly,
We haven't seen any progress pic's for a while, you mentioned it wasn't that far off re-completion.
Maybe start a new thread and give us a look.

Quite a few , but especially these 4 in order ;
1967 330 GTC - had an epic drive from Albuquerque through TAOS New Mexico to Fort Worth Texas. Averaged close to 100mph from clayton NM to Amarillo in 1984.kept the car a year.
1967 ISO Grifo
1967 Cobra COB 6107 - had it a couple of months in the mid 80s , couldn’t afford to keep it ! - found out years later how unusual that cars history was.
1968 GT350 Convertible with a documented dealer installed Paxton supercharger.
Paid $25k for the Ferrari / $10k for the ISO /$25k for the GT350 / - and a whopping $105k for the Cobra.Ferrari is now Worth $600k to $800k / ISO about $300k / GT350 now about $125 / and who knows what the COB Cobra is Worth - Oh well - I did get to drive them.

A 1973 240Z fully loaded, bought it in 74 for $3500, it had 10,000 miles on it. Sold it 3 years later with 55,000 miles on it for $3600.

My first three high school cars:
1959 Jaguar Mk 9 saloon. Got it in 1968 because it sat in the driveway, and I got it
running. Wrecked in '69.
1958 Jaguar XK150 fhc. paid $620 sold for $500. To buy,
1967 Jaguar E-type roadster.paid $1000. Parted it out early '70s because I could make more on it! Plus my Mom wanted all those damn cars out of her driveway.
While I know we can't keep them all, I had the time of my life driving Jaguars in high school.
Oh well, at least I never sold my 1950 Vincent Rapide.

My favorite daily was a 2003 Mercedes C32 AMG. Sleeper sedan with a supercharged 3.2L 6 cylinder. It was fast, drove like a dream, and the suspension was perfect.

My first car was a 1958 Fairlane 500 police car and I wish that I had it back. There just aren't any 58s of any kind around here any more. That was the only car that I really wish I hadn't gotten rid of. It had been repainted to the original factory colors as the black and white wasn't allowed on the streets back then unless it was still in service.
