Hi AC-460
It was the only crate FPV engine supplied to Keith & Colin from CTC and the engine number starts with it. It was the first mod instulled in a Aus Superformace and was never fitted to a Falcon.

Didnt realise you could buy an fpv engine as a crate engine... I thought they were hand built by fpv for fpv cars only.....Ive had a gt and a gtp....you can only buy fpv parts if you provide your chassis number...

AC-460 You are right this one slipped through in 2007. As the story goes KB got a call after delivery and was told no more engins would be sold to CTC again. Alot of work went into this combo as it is all Ford computer contolled.

Not sure if that is right.....260's are 4v they dont go anywhere near FPV...
260's 4v's come in as a crate engine not sure if the aussie intake is fitted here ...I'd say its probably fitted in the states for the assie market

Thumbs up

No need to appologise, you looked up the info and found the answer !
I'm using a 260 so I knew the engine no. started with FPV etc !!
The manifolds are all fitted here-our friends in the US of A pay reasonably large $'s for our inlets - they reckon they're pretty good gear !

Hi guys
FPV 260 Boss 5.4 and FPV 290 Boss 5.4 are both hand built in Melbourne and are not available as a crate engine.

They are only available as a replacement engine for a Ford Falcon vehicle that already has one and the engine and chassis numbers must be supplied with certain conditions.

Heard It all before through both FPV and HSV .... Sorry not available
Unless you have the stated above .... Guess what you can have anything if you speak to the right people in the know!!!!
And nothing dodgy in acquiring any of it!!!

Default Kenmer

I have photos of the Kenmer AC Cobra in my library but no other member who has made the attempt to shoehorn the 5.4 DOHC modular v8 into a cobra other than what has been stated.
