I'm not too sure which sump I got (C5 Corvette LS2 IIRC) but it was $250 posted to Oz.
Do you remember where you bought it?

I have trouble remembering what I did a few hours ago but IIRC I was just about to buy the F-body pan when these C5 pans became the new "must have". A couple of old pics when making the exhaust indicate the bellhousing is about 10-15mm lower.

A mob called 'GM Parts Direct'. Unfortunately (at least at the time) they only shipped to a US address - I had a friend in the US post it to me.

(edit) I told you I can't rememder: I found an old e-mail with the data - it's a C6 not a C5
C6 LS2 oil pan (has shallow rear sump) (kit with bolts/gasket) = 12581810
C6 LS2 oil pick-up screen (same used on LS6) = 12558750
C6 LS2 oil deflector (same as used on LS6/LS1) = 12558189

Don't buy the dipstick and tube - get a Lokar.

I am not sure what you guys are panicking about.
Both the engine sump and trans sump hang down below the chassis rail in my car, and have never looked like scraping.
Going over speed humps, getting loaded into the trailer and anywhere else is not a problem.
My side pipes are lower than the sumps so they will hit before anything else anyway.
I have however fitted a baffle in my sump which I think is very important if you are planning on doing any track work.

Made some progress over the weekend.

Oil pan cut open. The LS3 has a reasonable baffle system.

Modified pickup. I was a bit hesitant at first because of leaks and corrosion. I have tigged it up and will pressure test it. As it is submerged in oil corrosion wont be an issue.

Easy to set the clearance with the bottom off.

Cleaned up ready for welding

I reckon i have lost about 800mm of oil capacity. Im not too concerned as the ls3 in the corvette has less capacity than this sump. I should be able to over fill a bit also.
