Bugga, I hadn't checked date of public holiday, but had guessed it to be the following weekend.
May still try to attend as a visitor.

I'm along for the Nationals for first time and am wondering about sprints V's regularity. I'm keen to get a little advice on pro's & cons.

I don't have a lot of experience on the track, last month at QR's muscle challenge, plus a few Advanced Driving courses back at Oran Park 20 odd years ago. I might do a day with Paul Stokell's school up here before the Nats.

What have you guys competed in??

I have done a couple of track days at Mallala, along with a few Nationals and Shelbyfests.
I would probably just recommend getting some seat time in, gaining as much confidence in the car as you can.

Any confidence I have goes out the window once I get to the track usually!

The main event is the King or Queen trophy competition. This includes the sprints, not the regularity.

The regularity was designed to give cobra owners the opportunity to circulate around the track, without the "racing".

Taking a step back this year and I am not competing, Karen is though and I am looking forward in supporting her this year. I have had a good run now it is time to return the favour.

Get your entries in boys and girls. I may have to give it a miss this year as Im going to focus on getting the car registered so I can hopefully enjoy it this summer. Its bound to be 3 days of 25 deg and blue skys now.

Cheers

Not sure onbexact numbers but its probably about 10% that do the regularity.

Looks as though there may be more interest this year.

Kim may have more on this.

Default Nats

Just a heads up that there will be no Thursday unofficial practice this year using the Speed Off The Streets booking for the eager interstate and local participants. It's a WP V8 drive day booking and no chance to get on track at all. Have tried today with Neil's help without success. I bet that day is blue sky and 20 degrees now!!!

Well, I just sent off my entry form and booked accom and trailer is organised, as well as garage with my Vic team mates.

Looking forward to my first Nationals. I figure its rained enough times now that I might bring good weather from sunny Melbourne :-)

Now off to get exhaust "fixed" and EFI tune.

Rgds

Gregg

P.S. I will have room for passengers in my tow car if any Vic spectators boys need a lift

Default nats

21 Cars booked and loaded for the Nats from Sunny Qld I believe. Even a few newbies which is great to see. We're bringing the Sunshine down.
