Going home tomorrow, but will be weak for a couple of weeks.
Member of the zipper club now.....wouldn't wish the last week on my worst enemy.....
Today I got 100 percent pass on all of the new bits they've sewed into my heart.
I will be making part of my daily jobs for the next couple of weeks, to make a pest of myself on the forum....
Cheers to you all,

Ok not trying to raise any hackles but as I was not there what were the times in relation to engines and any car features that people saw that were really interesting.

There's a more specific response but as far as quickest individual lap times I think it roughly went...
1. Bydesign race car 1.04ish CHEV
2. RCR GT40 1.04ish Ford
3. Bydesign race car 1.04ish CHEV
4. Zenom race car 1.04/1.05 Yota
5. Harrison race car 1.05/1.05 Ford
6. Drb Street 1.05 Ford
7. RF? Gt40 1.05 Ford
I 'm sure someone can give more accurate info. I'm not sure about the other events.
Gav one drags - Chev
Tom 2nd - Ford
Others will be able to shed alot moree light. Sorry if I left people out or got the times wrong...

See if I can remember the times. Summary for you Macloft.
Fastest Street Cobra on Street Tyres was Ash in his DRB: 1:05:60
Fastest Street GT40 on Street Tyres was John in his RCR/PACE: 1:03:55
Fastest Track Cobra on Race Tyres was Geoff T in his ByDesign: 1:03:45
These are seriously FAST times.
Both Ash & John have around 450HP, I think Geoff has around 550HP. Geoff has noticably more power anyway than Ash & John.
Engine HP is just one of many factors in going quick at Wakefield.

Those HP figures are rear wheel not flywheel HP. Yes Geoff Tauntons 7 litre LS engine makes 571 hp at the tyres..... Some serious stuff for a light car. Gary Hall's BDM race car makes 470 at the tyres but is under 1000kg with him in it. I know mine is a little over 1300kg with me in it & I think Johns
GT40 is around the same weight. Wayne Proctor also did a high 1:05 in his street registered Harrison. As did Warren & Ron in Warrens red racer (harrison with 6 litre ford) Peter Hancock did a mid 1:07 in a street registered DRB with a mild 302 Windsor.... With about 300 rear wheel hp. The times were definitely tumbling for everyone it seemed.

Thanks Ash for the clarification, forgot to put rear wheel on those numbers.
Not surprised by Geoff's 571 rwhp number, the acceleration difference on the straight sections of track was very noticable.
Yes, some very impressive times all round.

Here's suggestion for the Sunshine Coast Crew for the Nats in 2013.
Mark those dates on the calendar. There is life south of Pine Rivers Bridge.
Not to mention the great incentive of receiving one of Fordys Fabulous CD's.

George campaigns his car in the Sth African equivelant of our sports sedans/marque sports car racing. I doubt it's for sale but everything is for a price i guess. U may be getting confused with a us built ffr racer that is for sale here on club cobra for 37k which hasn't seen much track time. A few Vic guys were keen on it.
George might part with his for big $s. pm me and I'll get u his email through Reg at backdraft if ya keen.
