Default chrysler should be ashamed of themselves

anyone with a jeep beware

im going to sydney in few weeks to do some work and fix my friends dodge nitro
it has a faulty window reg and jeep gave him a writen quote for bit over 800 bucks for parts and labour
they also chagred him 300 bucks to fix an inoperative globe
he thought it was only going to be 20 bucks but they didnt ring to tell him
and he rolled up and said thats 300 bucks cause of wiring probs

O.E.M 07-11 Dodge Nitro Window Regulator Motor Right Rear | eBay

here is the part on ebay for under 50 bucks then u add freight

mmm wonder how they justify the 700 bucks labour
wish i could chagre their rates

now i know why these types of companies get a bad rap and when buying a new or sort of new car to make sure u compare parts prices
u just cant go past a toyota i say

side show thats not just jeep
i just bought a new bt50 & asked to have a 7 pin round fitted , i was told that they could only fit a 7 pin flat legally .... but for an extra $300 plus parts they would fit a round plug next to the flat by those blue crimp joiners/ not soildered& heat shrinkso mazda can rip people off too
i bought the piece i needed at super cheap & fitted them in 20minutes for $30
as a chippy i only charge $55 /hr what a mark up

The partners PT Cruiser had misfire problems,
Took it to the Chylsler dealer in town,
It went in 4 times for diognostics at $110.00 a p-op.
They then said it was a cam sensor.
Over a $1000 to put a new one in.
Got a cam sensor from the local parts store for $120.00 (about $26.00 in USA)
two bolts and it was in in under 10 mins.
Diognostics to see what codes come up are as easy as turning the ignition key on 3 times and the codes will be displayed in the dash.

Stan.

Needed a screen for a Prado
2 local companies quoted $220 fitted at your place of work or home.
OBrien Glass, $570, you take it to them. When questioned about nearly triple the price, their response.............special quick drying glue and a "level 4 technician" was needed. What a load of bullsh**t

Airbags for rear suspension on a Discovery 2, the local dealer (ULR) wanted a grand to supply and fit. Ordered the airbags from the UK for under $200 delivered, fitted in 90 minutes. Mind you, I'm not paying hot women to take phone calls and make coffee in my "workshop".

I can justify 100% mark up but not 500%
Maybe I should charge three times as much and get a nice 44dd blonde to answer my calls
I doubt it will ever happen hehehe
I'll have to stick to only way to make good money is fixing other people's fk ups heheheh

Your friend better stock up on window regulators. I've replaced five of them on my '01 Dodge Dakota. FIVE you say? But it only has FOUR windows. Ah, but I've changed the driver's window regulator TWICE! Ugh! Don't get me started on the problems with my Dodge car...never buying a Chrysler product again...

I ordered a alternator for my Porsche 944 and it was around 450 dollars, I said no, Here is the part number, it's the same as a Ford alternator. Oh Sorry, thats 170 dollars. Genuine cam belt for same car 300 to 400 dollars. Standard gates belt same part number. 50 dollars from Motormate.
In my trade muffler book, I had a listing for a merc muffler. My trade price $550, retail $1100. People always say, you get what you pay for. Not if you know what your getting.
