Default Race cobra for sale.

RACE COBRA FOR SALE.

Our club member, Gary Walther has decided that he would like to move on to other things...some travel etc., and has decided to sell his Race Cobra.

He has put an asking price on the car that represents outstanding value for money.( $70,000 ) !,
And should result in a very quick sale.

Anyone wanting a purebred race car...with all of the bells and whistles should seriously consider this car.

Some of you might have seen this vehicle in action, and if you have you will know that this is a VERY SPECIAL car.

I would estimate that to get this Cobra to the level it has been built, would see the best part of $200,000 being spent.

Here are a couple of pics , from many that I’ve collected over the past few years.

The car is being sold in EXCELLENT / READY TO RACE condition, and has the following specs.

Purpose built body for racing with removable panels,
composite spoiler.

SVO Ford block, 4 bolt mains

689 HP on dyno

220 Chapman C3 Yates heads

5.700 Oliver rods

Internally balanced crankshaft

Titanium valves

High quality valve train

8 Kevlar trumpet inlet manifold

Dry sump

Engine oil cooler

Gearbox oil cooler

Diff oil cooler

Triple plate clutch

Holinger 6 speed gearbox with strain gauge
(allows full throttle gear change)

Autronic ECU

Data logging dash

6 spot front brakes, 4 spot rear

Independent rear suspension with KAZ diff Double wishbone front and rear suspension with Murray Coote shockies (near new) (custom designed by race shop) Dry weight 1030 kgs

PLUS....

Go Pro camera mount

Cool suit with ancillaries

Two-way radio

8 18 inch wheels, with one set of brand new slicks

Gary has given the first opportunity to the Cobra Club members...
at this very special price...before he does any advertising around Australia.

At $70,000-00 this is very good value.

Wow... this car is also Cams Log booked as a Marque Sports Car 2B I think?

I'm going down the log book road myself and it isn't easy.

Gary's asking price is amazingly cheap for a car of that spec even as a dedicated race car. As a loose comparative the 2 current older race Robnells are $115 and $88k a piece.

Hmmm.....if I don't "enjoy" the Nats this year I'm going to be doing the same!

WTF ?

I think this Cobra was built in 2007 .....

It was developed and built by DRB Sportscars in the Gold Coast, as a very special project for Gary Walther.

It's been constantly improved and fine tuned since then.

It's in a class of it's own now.

Cheers,
Warren.

I WISH that just a bit of Red paint made mine go like this one !!!!

This car has PLENTY under the skin........

Gary's Cobra shook the ground as it went by...

( Bit like yours Spook )...

and I LOVED when it whipped the Porsche Guys at Queensland Raceway.

Great to see !

Cheers,
Warren.

If it weren't for Alonso and Wazza then all red cars would be at the back.

Officially SOLD! And the new owner says its coming back at the Nats in 2013.

Considering how much has been invested in this car even the asking price was a steal!!

It's alot of car..........................

Would have been awesome to see one of the regular peddlers buy this car. I'm sure towmaster and tuf427 would have been casting their eyes being stout drb loyalists and bloody good seasoned steerers.

Not to be. The ole red racer will be showing its tidy bum to most for a while yet!
