Hey Dave, (Albanycobra) I've got this one sitting in the paddock. so they are still around.
I bought it from the dump shop at Humpty Doo years ago. If I live long enough I might do something with it. The plate says XB 250 Auto.
And the answer is no.
Cheers
Dave

Haha, I had a mate in town hit me up if red one for sale, said no.
He then asked if I knew of any poor condition XB Coupes around, he wants to build a MadMax car.
Was going to ask.
Then I read the last line.

Boxy, I found these in my shed the other day. I don't want them. You know what they are.
Do you want them?
Cheers

They look to be VJ sedan seats.
Probably not worth the cost to freight them down sorry Dave.
I have a Val made mate up in Darwin, will see if he may use?

With a Val mad mate in Darwin, your good self in The Alice and I know of one Val tragic in Geelong (de-facto son-in-law) you seem to have Australia covered.
Although statisticians will wonder why two out of three Val affectionados live in the Territory.
If your mate wants the seats he can have them.
I don't have any Valiants, let alone purple ones, although I did buy another purple (I mean Phantom) pre-bent BA Falcon from Pickles on Monday
Cheers
Dave

Little update.
I have been chasing a set of genuine "Cherry Blossom" rims for Mildred, a set has just come up on Japan eBay, so heres hoping. Genuine Hayashi's are forged as opposed to cast fakes.
They normally have a pink panted centre, so I will need to repaint them.
And on the XC front, Ron had a good crack over the weekend, and he has managed to get the back all tacked together and all squared up.

That's the great advantage living in the desert, cars last a long time. You only need to drive out a few miles to find car bodies.

Well, I missed the mags.
I had them with 2 seconds to go (and under budget) and seller pulled the add.
My broker said that is the first time he has seen an add pulled from the site.

Latest edition to the shed.
I bought this for $50 plus $98 in fees last week.
It was missing the ignition barrel, I sat the key inside key reader and turned ignition switch but it would not start, talking to a Mitsu mate, he says the key readers often fail.
I bought a full set of keys/barrels locks and a key reader on a recent ebay auction, so once this gets home I will try again.
Not sure of plans yet, either fix it and return to road use and sell to someone looking for a first car, but I had a better look last night, and suspect at some point in its life it has had a decent rear hit (bodywork isn't quiet right around base of rear window).
Once it is running I will get a better look underneath.
But if it was a bender then I would not feel right selling it to someone buying a road car (would likely be a kid buying first car), so it may end up as a quick flip and sold to someone in local rally club to bash around in the dirt.
It is the 1.8 litre and 5 speed manual, with only 89000kls

Slip into town and nick some balustrade from the pub and fit it into some Simmons rims Dave. Same thing

A little update on the going ons.
Lancer now has new key and barrels, just need to get the key coded to the immobilizer.
Spent a bit more time on the Corona mods Sunday morning (till I ran out of cutting disks), First up, this is the way I am looking to build the car.
Lowered roof, coupe, and wide body guards front and rear.
Most likely is Hilux diff, LS1 with paddle shifted auto (thanks to Gav for answering questions on that front)
And this is where I am at with the actual car.
Increased rake on rear window pillar.
The rear roof will come down approx another 2 inches from this image.

Cheers Leroy.
Dsadly the show focused on the burnout masters more than anything else.
Not very many happy viewers from my understanding.
The Cobra snuck into view very briefly.

Never seen the appeal in burnout comps. Pretty bloody boring imo.

to be honest i dont know how the epa even allow them.i see no appeal in them but people spend big money on engines to compete and the prize money is quite big for some events .
there not my cup of tea to be honest
