Hi All,
Great to meet up and some fantastic cars on display, must have been close to maybe 400 cars? With 5 Cobras and a sighting of Enzo's CSX 4### which we saw go past but I don't think he stopped. Here's a few pics just before the crowds hit.

Hi fellas, it was good to see you guys today. Very nice cobras one and all.
HSVREDSLED, I presume the silver cobra is the same one the other guys refer to above, it belongs to a guy named Enzo, and is a continuation CSX4048. For sale if you have several hundred Ks. And great photos ICE.

Cheers Tengu.
I saw it going past me towards The Enty when I was heading to Erina, then I 'heard' it going past me again as I headed north. Damn nice sound!
Thanks for the kudos on the snaps, they were earlier in the day before the crowd and the rest of us outcasts lobbed up, but I am quite happy with them, noting they were taken on the Samsung Galaxaphone two.
As far as a phone goes, its not a bad camera
The cars and not just ours where a credit to the owners and the random drunks leftovers from last night, AKA, MAZ 6, CAMRY and COMMODORE , where the standouts from the crowd.. LOL
Bretty your car always looks the goods..... simply stunning .......
The Homebush Body shape is certainly one of the best.....the differences are so noticeable especially when parked next to the red DRB

I'm not sure how the others went in the show (I just thought it was a good place to park) There was plenty of stiff competition there though, I heard on the news a figure of 600 cars in the show, which seems a tad high but there were sheet loads. What app are you running those pictures through Ice?
cheers
Paul, just used the Auto correct function in the Microsoft picture manager, the pics are from what ever image capture the Samsung galaxy had, I had the camera settings on Auto.
Pretty happy with the way the car came up on the day and in the photos.
Didn't help that the PA died and hardly anyone could hear who won what, maybe they will post them some where.
Profile updated, I would hate to see people get concerned and curious about replicas, does anyone in Oz have an original 65...seen a CSX that was close but still....brands to me are about personnel preference not status, and I like mine just fine.

Easy mistake to make Icypole, the DRB and an original share loads of similarities.
They both have a steering wheel, an engine and loads of other neat stuff.
Sure, cheers Gav, just like getting mixed up with Chevrolet and Ford engines, an easy mistake to make...they got pistons, blocks, crankshafts, some even have 8 cylinders too and loads of other neat stuff.
I am still reverse engineering the engineers cert and mapping against bits fitted, noting the absence of a build log. Unfortunately, the ADF takes up a lot of my time so a work still in progress.
Not disrespecting anyone here, preference is preference, anyhow, this thread is about Chromefest 2012 at the Entrance....wonder how it got irrelevant, seeing as I amended that in my profile when I bought the car home back in Feb.
...Sure, the badge was on the car when I got it, chat with the builder if its that big a deal, damn, I did not know there are so many 427 engines fitted as well, but looking through the board there must be, easy mistake there too..... but once again, off topic.....
.....any new news from the show from those that attended with or without wheels ???

Hmmmm - Apologies for continuing off topic, but I just made the comment as the profile didnt seem to match the car I was looking at - no real concern. Although, probably not great form to mis-represent your car, intentionally or not.
BUT......If you like it just fine (and you should), just should just say what it is in your profile. You have a mighty fine looking DRB there - We have DRB drivers as current king and queen cobra - you disrespect all DRB owners by calling it a "BITZA". Wear you massive butt with pride Iceman.....and snap those teeth together........a real Shelby....."don't be ridiculous"
Not really, news or pics in general of the 2 cobs at other areas and pics from other areas,
...and while the GRP Body is DRB, everything else comes from a variety of donors, including numerous models of Holden's,Fords, a Nissan, a triumph, land rovers, various kit components from different suppliers and lot of hand fabricated components, rather than the traditional DIY DRB kit from scratch (this is why a build log would have been great as the engineers report is too broad to go into every individual specific)...hence the term One of a Kind BITZA, so why would I be disrespecting DRB, that looks as tidy as they one I own.
The car is original to itself as there is not another like it, and the term hybrid would suggest electric propulsion in additional, but to keep the puritans happy, I will change BITZA to fusion.
Now, a lot of blokes go for the Rhianna body style... sure I get that, Butt I prefer the more Rubenesque Beyonce look myself. And as Sir Mix a Lot says....
Anyhow....So did anyone get some cool snaps from the other show areas, or know if they post results anywhere...

Icetea, nearly all our cars are a cocktail of parts from various manufacturers, that's what makes them an affordable hobby.
Call your car a DRB, you could even give it a name, 'Slider' immediatly comes to mind, not sure why...

The chassis\body make generally determine the make of the car - every cobra (real or replica) borrows parts off other makes and models. Mine has bits of Jag, commodore, falcon, barina, Yugo, and Mack concrete truck.
