Just went out for a look at the track, should be nice tight racing, but there are some stones in the track, hope I dont get hit in the head by one.

Fiberglass repairs turned out good.
Are you going to keep a log book of your suspension setups so you can build up some setup data?
Cheers

Already have that written up and a spreadsheet on laptop :-)
Also looking at other fast cars to see what is different, have been talking to shockie guy who comes up with buggy racers, he recomended to knock 20lb of nitrogen pressure out of shocks, then test to see what is happening.
Currently has 170lb gas each shock in rear, with 150lb springs, shock pressure is currently overpowering the spring rate.
He recommends to never go higher with gas pressure than what springs are rated at.
Also need to adjust valving so rebound is faster, on whoops the back end starts to sink down, as the shocks are not full extending before the next bump.
Here are some shocks working on a car that he adjusts for Finke.

Uploading some in car footage from final race.
Here is a little one showing a roll over I had.
While passing a car he cut in on me and jammed me against the tyres on side of track.
I raced the next race and in car stuff is from final on Monday morning.

Yeah, I got jammed into the tyres, Camera man was my brother in-law, he had the emergency vehicle, so had to kinda stop and get moving.

Looks like you got some serious air there Dave
As long as you're okay, that's all that counts. You should be able to get a few free beers relating how you got AIR there mate.

We had another race out here yesterday.
So finished body repairs and prepped the car through the week, painted Saturday morning and was all ready by nighfall Saturday.

Loaded up Sunday and headed out,
Was going well, there was 9 competitors, reality is I am not going to beat the top 4 guys (young guns from speedway and go karts) so I was competing against the rest in my mind
Heat 1 I started 4th, ended race in 6th.
Heat 2 I started 2nd and finished 4th.
Heat 3 I was from rear of field in 9th, ended up 6th in that one.
Heat 4 I started 7th, was up into 6th pretty quickly but then lost all drive out of a corner and the kart stalled, couldnt get it to fire up again, pulled off the track and checked it out, found the chain missing.
Fitted a new chain but then went to fire it up and found no go, would fire up but not run properly.
Consensus seems to be that the keyway of flywheel has sheared and this puts the timing out for spark.
So that will be inspected through the week.
Still had a ball and great fun.
Here are some pictures from the final.

Seriously, that looks like a little too much fun to be legal.
Well played Boxhead. Good call.
PS: Sorry to hear of the damage your kart sustained
