Cobra for Sale
The time has come to part with a friend. With the realization that I am moving in other directions with my car interests I can see my cobra spending more time under its cover that out doing what it should.
So while it will be hard to let go its the right thing to do.
I am sure most people know my car as it has been around for quite a while and is a bit out there with paint and stuff.
The car is in good shape but can do with some love and care to get it looking perfect.
As a quick over view the car will be sold with all the associated Track Gear.
1. Full Andra spec 6 point cage.
2. 18 inch Billet rims with R spec tires fitted
3. Race seat re trimmed in Leather
4. Full direct injection wet NOS System, never used and show quality installation.
The cars specification, ie engine, brakes and suspension will be supplied privately.
There will be some challenges that the new owner would need to understand so please apreciate what is on sale here.
This car has the best components I could afford and to put things into perspective the engine is worth over $45K.
Please contact me on 0422 612 210 for price and specifications.
Just for interest sake this is what the car has achieved.
1. Queen Cobra 2 Years running
2. King Cobra
3. Shelby fest Champion
4. NSW Club Champion
4. Summer Nats 21:
top 60, Engineering Excellence award Dyno Comp, 3rd Naturally aspirated small block dyno comp. Best Mural elite class.
5. Street machine Feature
6. There have been numerous Show and Shine awards and various track day trophy's.
7. Shelby American endorsed Poster
And much much more.
Phil

For Sale
Philm,
The best Cobra in Australia !!!!!!!
There I have said it......................
The bar was certainly blown out of the water when Uncle Phil built his car.

I didn't know Don Stafford built your engine
All jokes aside, this is the best looking and performing Cobra in Australia, just
do the rest of us a favour and sell it to someone who cannot drive....
Good Luck Phil

This is a sad day for the B club but totally understand your reasoning.
Your Cobra is still one of the best thought out and engineerd Cobras around.
The new owner will be one lucky Cobra owner.
Phil.

Phil, this is sad news mate... I'm hope this doesn't mean you're leaving the cobra community???
I'm hopeful you've reconsidered the Orphan's fate and now plan to adopt?
Better still, sell the Orphan and ADOPT ME.......I'd love to grow up with a shed full of projects like yours!!
Good luck with the sale mate.

Awesome car...deserves an awesome price....
Best of luck with it mate...
If I hadn't just spent the last 4 years making mine ( slowly)...AND I had the money I've spent on it...
I'd be all over yours Phil !!!
Now I just gotta get rid of Peter Hancock, Ashley Bright, Wayne Proctor, Audley Lloyd, and about 20 others....
and a placing in the Nationals "show and shine" might be a possibility !!!
Cheers,
Warren.

Wazza I know that for some reason I have collected show n shine trophies at last 2 Nationals, but, putting my car in the same leagues as the other cars mentioned is about as funny as awarding a 'most original Cobra' with an LS engine........ Ha ha
Awesomely presented car Phil, lets hope it goes to a good home.

Wow Phil, the cobra that has set the benchmark is for sale. Never though I would see this. Its just one of those cars everyone knows, and loves. Spectacular in so many ways. Best of luck with the sale.
Ash, I think that year was the last time before the show and shine became little more than a popularity contest, so wazza is still no chance.....

Thanks for the kind works. it has definitely been a very rewarding journey.
I have started to prep the car for sale, out with all the race stuff and out comes the street stuff.
It was great to open the door to get in rather than climb into the ever shrinking hole
The price I feel is realistic as it has a well earned patina from many years of use.
I have some mechanical work to get to over the next few weeks and then I will put it on car sales.
Phil

An opportunity has crossed my path a few weeks ago now and it has sealed the fate of the cobra and a a few other cars also need to go.
I have been using the cobra less with each passing year and while I love fanging it around the track it was never driven on the street.
I have just purchased a 1954 23 window deluxe and a 1954 double door panel, both RHD and Australian delivered. I know getting these back on the road will take a few years that will consume most of my spare time.
I also has a 1954 single cab that I am building as a drag car, it will be street-able and runs VW style components but with a super charged 3ltr autocraft engine.
This is where my interest is focused and a goal of a 9 second 1/4 mile pass for a full body VW commercial running a VW air cooled engine.
So selling the cobra will be difficult for a number of reasons but it will only just sit here in an already over crowed shed.
Phil

I love your car in its street guise.
Although it will be sad to see it shift, a sincere good luck with the sale mate.
Are you aiming at King Kombi next year?
