There has already been a lot of local interest in this event.
The word spread very quickly about how much fun we had on the Rally last year.
This is a professionally run event with sophisticated timing devices, detailed guide books and the Rally received international recognition last year.
There will be a lot more Classic American muscle cars entering this year and I am told some very special supercars which include ferrari (3), porsche (5) and a lambo.
There is an early nomination discount if you register pre 28th Feb and all entries close 30th March.
If you have never ventured up to North Queensland before, this is a perfect opportunity. Our Autumn weather is fantastic and the scenery during the Rally is spectacular.
Oh, the winners trophy is pretty cool as well
Well worth the effort and if you need assistance with accommodation or car storage, send me a PM and I will help with arrangements.
We had five (5) Cobras enter last year and wouldn't it be fantastic if a cobra won two years in a row.

Merv I think you should hold off selling your Cobra for a few more months and come visit your old stomping grounds for this event.

The weather is normally great at that time of the year, I spent most of my school years in Cairns - loved it. I noticed from the webpage that there is a limit of 100 cars and entries close on the 31st May - can this be confirmed?

Hi Derek,

Confirmed the organiser intends to limit the competitors number to 100 this year. There is a limited area the organiser can secure in the Pier car park where the event starts and finishes both days. Also there are parking issues at lunch locations.
Registration finalisation is as the web site reads, being 31st May 2013.
