Last Piccies for a few weeks Car going to be Wired
Alloy Engine Mounts
There is a story with these engine mounts.
The original mounts were modified by Peter so he could manufacture the exhaust headers and then Greg and Craig made a further improvement to give even more room so that future headers would be easier to make.
The Pace Cobra is always evolving.
Headrests fitted to seat backs
Classic Steering Wheel
Well its all systems go at Absolute Pace with more Chassis and bodies being finished all the time.
I am just waiting for the Exhaust Headers to be finished the Windscreen and Gauges to arrive then its off to the engineer for Certification and a lane change test an inspection at QLD Transport then its enjoy time
Cheers
Brad

Hi Brad,
Really enjoying the pics, comming together nicely.
I noticed in the last pics there is only 2 wiper mounts sticking through the cowl, I thought 3 was required to meet sweep area these days, what system, brand, blades etc are you going to use.
I would prefer only 2 on my build if possible.
Dave

Hi Dave - 2 wipers is fine depending on your engineer (in NSW at least). The rule was changed from a percentage area swept to a "effective wiper system" (at least I think that is the wording). Mine was only engineered a little over 12 months ago with just the 2. Looks much better and Ive been told it works better as there is less strain on the wiper motor. Cheers

GREat to see the build coming on so well, Brad. You must be getting really excited as it nears completion.
Let us know how everything goes with rego - though I believe that the rules in NSW will probably be different.
Cheers,
Richard

Guys
Good morning.
Please keep this Thread on track.
This Thread is informative and constructive and will be closed if individuals start off the Thread discussions that should be held on the phone, email, or face to face or other forum.
If off topic discussions lead to a possible legal action - heaven forbid - then this Thread can or will be presented in that action.
So put simply, think before you Post on a Thread and stay on topic.
I neither agree or disagree with comments by parties in disagreement but simply say stay of the Club Cobra Forum.
As I am in the US now, I will ring Moderators to further explore off topic Posts and how we will handle this if it keeps up.
Again, don't continue hi jacking off topic, as it would be a pity to have this Thread shut down.
Brad great progress mate. Keep Posting the pictures and updates. I know you are a pioneer in the build process and the R + D lab rat!!..
Cheers mate.
Bernie

Brad,
yes maybe it's the car that's the lab rat - all experiments, changes and testing tried on it first...
Now stallion..
You are really close now - test rides soon..

I like that head rest design. I was going to do something similar for my Kirkey seats. Is the frame made from stainless rod or tube?
I was going to weld brackets on the back of my seats for the uprights to go into but I reckon that bolt through setup with the steel plate will be easier to make and probably stronger.
Cheers
Michael

Thanks Brad
That is one of the really daunting parts of the build I think. It will be good to see some pics as it comes together...
Hopefully AP has a fully terminated loom by the time I am ready

Nice work as usual Brad. Planning a possible trip up first week of June. Will you be around then. Will your car still be there?
