Or I may come back there again!!
Great news Brad with progress - living your dream and watching the progress

Hi Tony
Well the Cobra has been at the auto electrician's workshop for the last 4 weeks so i haven't seen it for a while.
I was at the QLD Cobra Club breakfast this morning and Craig showed me some of the progress photo's of the wiring so I will post them when I get the car back.
The seats have been fitted with 75 to 100 mm of foam on the bottom so now I am waiting for the upholsterer to finish them.
I have paid for a distributor,Coil and Spark plug leads for the engine so I will fit them at the engine start.
The exhaust is fitted to the car so that's one job i wont have to do again and I had the exhaust Black Ceramic Coated and I must say it looks rather cool all the pipes are under the car you can't see them.
Waiting on the gauges and a windscreen and a soft top .
When the car comes back from the Auto Electrician then its off to Norwell for a lane change test then the paperwork goes to QLD Transport and 2 weeks later ( I Hope ) its Rego time.
I will post photo's as soon as I get the car back ( I Promise )
Cheers
Brad

Take care

Hi Brad
thanks for the update. Wiring has to be the most daunting part of the build to me...
Do you know how Pace are going with a plug-n-play wiring loom?
Or is your car the test mule for that too?
Getting close now...
Tony

Hi Guys
The car is still a couple of weeks away I am waiting for the gauges.
8 Track !!! The only music I want to hear is the sound of the Windsor and the wind through my hair.
The wiring harness is being developed by Craig and I don't know how far is has progressed, I believe all you will have to do is lay the loom out and thread it through the chassis.
Mule I think not Stallion I will accept haha
Cheers
Brad

Small Update
Hi All
I got a call from the Auto elec guy yesterday and I heard the Pace 427 idle into life.
I should have the beautiful Pace 427 back in the Pace facility for the finishing touches by Friday this week.
Then its all up to the Engineer (are you listening Ray ) for all the paperwork and a lane change test .
Then Rego and its off to the Nationals ( nothing like a bit of pressure to get things happening ).
Cheers
Brad

Brad, you'll be taking enough people for joyrides when it's done that you might as well throw one of your spare taxi meters into it...

And with the new Pace, you'll have a legit reason for taking "the longest way home". After all that's what Cobras are made for!
Perfect timing too Brad -- retirement, followed a few short weeks later by the birth of AP No.1. Now that you're a man of leisure sing out if you want to do a few mid-week jaunts. I won't mind that you'll be in the car that everyone wants to look at!!

Hi Guys
Thanks for the kind words and now I really have put myself under the pump as they say.
The seats are finished and are at the factory I was told Wednesday.
There is still some work to be done but I don't think I will have to wait for any parts to be sourced.
Its all coming together nicely and at the right time for the Nationals.
A Taxi meter in a Cobra well its a thought there might be need for a 1 person Taxi but the fare tariff will have to be by negotiation .
Cheers
Brad

Pace 427 Drives Today
Hi All,
Well at 3.30 PM today 20th August 2014 the Pace 427 Cobra01 drove under her own power in the car park at Absolute Pace.
Speed was minimal because of the confines of the car park and Greg operating the throttle from the top of the engine.
Brakes work a treat and so does the reverse in the gearbox I couldn't find 1st gear so I must have used 3rd so Don tells me.
Tomorrow Wayne and I will work on the suspension setup ie. camber caster toe in and the like and then it will be ready for the lane change test.
And Wazza I had my hands up Cobrinas skirts today and she felt simply divine I just thought that you would like to know haha.
Cheers
Brad
