I know you said those wheels are borrowed (and I think you said you're looking at using the traditional Cobra Halibrand design), but the more I look at the GT40 wheels on there the more I like them!

Hi Mike and Craig
I like the look of the GT40 wheels too and i am having trouble deciding which way to go so i will have to make a decision when C.W. gets some Halibrand wheels with tires .
It looks like C.W. is under the pump again haha.
Craig is doing his best and all will fall into place in due course i am sure.
Cheers
Brad

The photos don't do it justice, I reckon it looks amazing in the flesh as the body shape was a major investment in both time and money. Will look even better when all the body accessories are fitted.
That car is sitting at full ride height, 100mm ground clearance. We have dialled in the stance to the nth degree. With big baggy sidewall and the larger diameter of 15" tyres , the 15" tyres will tuck further up into the guards and fill out the rear flare etc. I believe we have catered well for both 15" & 17"+ wheel diameters. With 18" wheels you can get tyres that are around the same diameter as the 15" ones.
Yes, the BRM GT40 wheels like fantastic. Classic open spoke design that also shows off our massive Brembo brake packages.
Working with a few different wheel suppliers at the moment for Halibrand wheels. Unfortunately for Brad we only have 15" Halibrands in stock at the moment. But that will be rectified by the time he needs them.
We have had quite a few of our PACE 427 customers go with BRM GT40 style wheels.

She looks sensational! Looking so forward to receiving mine! not long now.
Craig, out of interest, the Pace 427 brochure shows a bonnet scoop on all the 427SC vehicles but I don't see one on Brad's car. IMHO, the body doesn't look complete without the scoop. Is this supplied in the kit as a bolt/glue on piece?
Cheers,
Sime

Yes, bonnet scoop is included in the base kit. Didn't I email you a photo of yours, oops. Simon it is there on your parts shelf. It is an original shape scoop that can be bolted on or bonded/blended etc.
I should have got Brad's of the shelf and put it on the body for the photos.

Hey Brad the build is looking Awesome, Great Colour it shows off the lines of the pace 427 really well.
I too like the GT40 wheels but I'm going with Halibrands for my build.
Is anyone thinking of building a pace 427 with no hood scoop, side vents, roll bars, side pipes? Just keep it smooth and low

Is there still a Kirkham there somewhere..
Or has he sold it on me..
Looks like great progress on your Cobra to date it looks amazing. The setting position looks ideal.
After driving up to the Absolute Pace factory in Queensland from South Australia, I can assure you the lower you sit in the car the better - you just get knocked around by the wind etc. if you sit to high.
Providing you can see over the dash.. that's high enough for your seats.
OK - so take out all the spaces and sit back and enjoy the ride..
Bernie
