G'day Fellas;
I was lucky enough to have a quick look through the Pace operation today. I saw plenty and it was all impressive, from the quality of the bodies and the precise nature in which it all comes together. The engineering and the thought behind the ideas and processes that bring the end result.
The physical size difference between 2 aluminium 427 motors next to each other, one being the 'Cammer' was extraordinary. Seeing a polished alum body up close and the quality of the builds was an eye opener. I think of what my car (kit) looked like when I got it 14 years ago compared to what's on offer these days makes me a little crook in the guts, but I would not swap the build experience and having the car for anything.
If I was starting again..............I'd be talking to Craig and getting one of his, I wouldn't think twice!!
Thanks Craig for your time today, I know you were busy.

Regards
Chris L

Saw your build while visiting AP a month or so ago Sime! Will be great to see it down here in October.

Hi Jeff

I would hope so, but my work commitments will rise in November and December so it will be in the lap of the Gods.

It will also depend on the supply of parts and Goodies to AP.

But we all live in hope and lets hope we don't die in despair.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Darryl,

The mirror panels in the engine bay are awesome.

Craig had an engine in a Pace 427 fitted with the polished stainless mirror panels at the Nationals and it looked like the car had a V16 at first glance, the depth was amazing.

I might see you when you are on the Gold Coast I work on my car every Tuesday and Friday.

Cheers

Hi Brad

I am hoping to drop into AP HQ on this Tuesday, about 10am or so. Hopefully we cross paths and you can talk me through your build...

Cheers

Default Tuesday

Hi tony,

I will be at Pace on Tuesday for sure barring some act of catastrophe with business or family and it will be great to finally meet.

I met a couple of guys on Wednesday from Burrum heads Steve and his father Chris who are building a Pace 427 .

Chris has built a kit Aeroplane he tells me it was a lot of fun but he says that he built it 3 times ( now that sounds familiar doesn't it )

I haven't posted any photos lately because i have been busy tidying up little things on the car and we put the engine in the bay Friday afternoon.

I will be fitting the windscreen wiper motor and drive mechanism after installing the engine mounts to the chassis on tuesday.

It will be great to meet you on Tuesday.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Brad

Sounds great - I look forward to it.

I plan to call in with my wife and kids for a quick look. I will then drop them at Harbourtown and come back for a more in-depth look!

Hi Tony

It will look heaps better when the engine and gearbox are fitted tomorrow.

They found a radiator at Pace and it has my name on it so i will try to get that fitted as well.

Craig will order the gauges then i can fit the Dash as well so i will be busy for a few days catching up and keeping pace (no pun) with the orders as they arrive.

Windscreen and other bright stuff should be there soon.

Cheers

Brad
