I purchased it not long after I bought the donor car (VZ SS Ute - front sump pan) in 2008. If I recall correctly it is a C5. I got it from the US but I understand they were subsequently fitted to the 6.0ltr vehicles sold here but I can't confirm that.
(edit) Zedn is correct it is a C6 - I found the details on an old e-mail.
C6 LS2 oil pan (has shallow rear sump) (kit with bolts/gasket) = 12581810
C6 LS2 oil pick-up screen (same used on LS6) = 12558750
C6 LS2 oil deflector (same as used on LS6/LS1) = 12558189
C6 LS2 dipstick = 12570788
C6 LS2 dipstick tube = 12570787
Don't get the dipstick and tube - better to go with an after-market.

It's a C6 LS2 corvette pan. The earlier C5 LS1 and LS6 corvette had the winged sump but it was replaced with this one on the next model. I have the same pan on on mine. Much shallower and better baffled than the Camaro pan I originaly had.
I've got 3 different varieties of pan at home to compare. if any one wants measurements or photos.
Holden Commodore, Camaro and LS2 Corvette.
The corvette pan is even shallower than your cut down pan Liam.
Cheers

Apart from the Black and Polished Aluminium, HPC also do a Grey finish. There are no examples on their web site so I've asked to be sent a photo of a grey coated item. If it's light grey I will be very keen but not so if it's a dark grey. Has anyone any examples of their 'Grey'?
I like this,
but not this

Thats good to hear. I was a little concerned about lost capacity. I also shortened the pickup about 20mm. I just cut a section out of the tube and welded the end back. Good fun tig welding something that has been submerged in oil for 3 years! I made the join so that it will be submerged in oil just in case there are any very small leaks that could suck air and effect the oil pickup.

PeterAllen,
I have the grey on my ultralight exhaust headers, i don't have a pic with me to send to you, but it is a gunmetal color, darkish, with a slight blue tinge through it.
Is your gearbox the TR6060, if so, what slave cylinder are you using and whose brand of remote bleed is it.
regards
Dave

Dave - It's a T56. I'm leaving the slave all standard and the M/C is also from the donor car. The remote bleed is from Mal Woods.
So you are saying the Grey is similar to the darker one in the two images?

I had the white rough finish on my second car, would never do that again.
I have had silver ceramic coating from Custom Coatings in Brisbane, for 3 cars now, all very durable, they all still look like the day I fitted them.

Peter,
Yes, the grey from HPC is a darker grey like the second pic, its not the nicest grey in my opinion.
Sorry for the late response mate, i'm OS with limited internet connection,
If i was home, i could snap a pic and show you definitively the colour.
regards
Dave

Absolutely delighted Mike.
With some crinkle black on the polished rocker covers to tone it down a bit they should look great in the new satin black engine bay.
Many thanks to those who provided input to this thread - exactly why I joined the site.

A tip for getting good wrinkle finish, heat the rocker covers up.
Either use the oven, or if concerned that may cause marital issues, use the BBQ.
Put BBQ on low heat, sitt rocker covers in there (obviously away from any flame) and cover (close lid or have something to cover and trap the heat in).
Once it is heated a bit, turn BBQ off and spray away, a few coats, then close lid and let it cool down over night.
This is what the Charger guys do when doing 100 point resto on R/T (wrinkle rocker covers)
