LS engines, anyone running the '99 Corvette fuel filter/reg combo?
The fuel filter in the '99 Corvette has a regulator (58psi) built-in, is anyone running one of these in their LS setup? From what I read it seems somewhat common in the US on LS conversions, and saves the hassle of external regulator;

Modena, most of the LS blokes I know are running the Crewman pump with internal reg (like myself) or the BA Falcon setup. That one above would be more easily serviced I guess but I went for simplicity instead.

It really depends on whether you have thought that you might upgrade the fuel rails etc later.
If so, just buy an external reg a fit a return system, it really not that difficult.

Pump
Hi Ben,
I am running the std LS internal pump/reg/swirl pot and it is great.
The only difference to the Ford unit ( running one in the Cobra ) is the there
is no return line in the LS set up. I have 300rwkw in the Daytona and it
handles it. I understand TL with the SC/LS set up needed to upgrade his
pump.

I have a Bosch 044 pump and external regulator. Even then the car starts to lean out above 5500 so it's not getting enough fuel. I already have better injectors that came with the S/C but I am running a 5200 limit and even then there's more than enough mumbo.

I am running that exact filter.
I have a Walbro 255LPH intank pump running to the filter with AN6 and then 3/8 hard line to the engine. More pump options with that filter/reg.

Zedn am I right in saying that the feed to the filter is 3/8 (AN-6), while the return from the filter is 5/16 (AN-5?) ?

Just thought I'd throw this in for those using this Corvette Filter Regulator and planning to use a BA ford in tank pump module.
The following link will take you to a Ford BA tank module that is already fitted with a 255ltr Walbro pump and which has a deeper enlarged base which keeps more fuel around the pump.
They can also supply this pump module but fitted with the new Walbro 400Ltr pump.
The Company is Auto Wholesale Aust. and is in Melbourne.

Don't know what they are like but worth looking into.

3/8" in and 5/8" return, but all are -6an. Get the kit that has the fittings with it. I just used a tube nut and sleeve to go straight onto the 3/8 hard line to the motor. Then 6an hose to the tank.
I got all the stuff from summit.

I don't think it's really necessary for returnless systems.
Mine holds pressure for a long time.

Most of the in tank pumps have a check valve on the pump outlet. I know the Walbro's do.
see here about half way down the page.
