New $30US fee to be a Club Cobra member?
Hi guys,
Just had to pay $30 US to join a Pagoda forum to benefit from accessing all the info I needed, buying ,selling ,tech info etc....
So question is,
Would you pay $30 to benefit from all this site offers?
Still a Cobra fan!
Soul.

I have been looking around for possable next kit car project.
Would love a Miura kit or a Lancia Stratos kit, there is a dedicated Stratos kit builder website, but they want a yearly fee to be a member.
If I had a kit, I would probably join, but I am still in early stages of research, so struggle to justify until I am further into needing more info.

But then you would have had to pay for access to this site. As such, less people would have signed up in the first place, and the site would have failed long before you ever found it in the first place.
Bill S.
PS: there are browser settings and add on programs that can eliminate the majority of advertising that shows up on the site.

Yep. I use Firefox with the AdBlock plug-in. Really nothing to set-up. Download Firefox, look for a add block plug-in and your're good to go.

Bill's got a point and besides, I think I'd miss all the beautiful young ladies that want to meet with me and they're only 4km away.
I just saw that she's 4 miles away, funny she doesn't look old enough to know what a mile is........

Haha, you do realise those ads are targeted based on google data associated with your computer and IP address. In other words google monitors what sites you look at and then puts up ads that may interest you. Very clever yes? So the ads will be different for everyone. I wont make the conclusion about what sites this indicates you must frequent!

Yeah I know, it was a joke. We were only talking about it yesterday comparing different adverts in different browsers.

I might add, that over the years, I have gladly donated more than your $300 assertion to Brent so that he could keep this place afloat. The server bandwidth alone is quite expensive, so you might want to keep that in mind as well.

It's like trying to look at youtube clips. Full of ads. I watched one that had over 6 clips over the screen that you had to cancel out.

Boxy what about a Hummer kit? They build them from a Patrol chassis. Think they are called Rhino. Toyed with that idea instead of doing the V8 Rodeo.... But was easier & prob cheaper to do the Rodeo. You could always talk to Craig about an LS powered exoskeleton (lawn mower) that he is developing... Now that thing is gunna be a weapon! Think aerial atom with LS7.......

A few have asked what I have found on Miura.
So far a company in UK is appearing to be "best" option.
Parallel Designs: Built by hand; driven with soul
Click on Miura link on left and go from there.
They do a traditional body and a different version with a more aero efficient front end (but looks ugly in my opinion)
Original look.
And modern design.
In regards to Stratos.
There are 2 main contenders, being Hawk (also do Cobras) and Lister.
Out of the 2 Lister appears to be the "beter" option in as far as build quality and parts quality (newer design and newer donor parts)
Home
This one may be the car in Australia as Lister Bell advised they had recently sent a kit to Canberra, and the owner was fitting a V6 Toyota.
My number 1 choice would still be the Miura, but not a lot of info on the kits around yet.

Yes Soul, I would pay a compulsory fee if needed. I donate now in appreciation for the site. I benefit greatly from our US buddies who have a wealth of knowledge with replicas similar to mine.
Great looking Lancia Boxhead, are you seriously looking for more pain with another builld?

I would like to respectfully disagree. As a new owner, I find the advertising extremely helpful in tracking down parts and trinket suppliers! I actually prefer it and wish there was more variation....
