yes it should be same for 6cyl and v8 for the plug
im not sure if the pedals have different voltages inside
so if u get a pedal make sure its from a ve v8 or check
with holden if part numbers for pedal is same between them

That makes it easier, there are a couple of v6 cars at pick and Payless.

The pedals are confusing, there are 4 on eBay that all look the same and say they are for ve v8 but all have different part numbers. One is alloy, but the other 3 are identical. Looking on the ls1 forum the part numbers there are different again! Since the cheapest on eBay is $50 and the Holden list price seems to be around $90 I think Holden is the way to go.

well everyone should always know one of lifes big lessons

the cheapest price isnt always the best or correct part heheheh

and another one is buy a loom from usa and good luck with it hehehehe
i dont mind helping but i stop when it comes to the crap thats sold over in the usa
as there is no help desk because things are slightly differnet to over here so people try to save money but they do not know the little differences
anyway good luck at pick n payless
also what colour butterfly have u got
that is another issue u might run into but im pretyt sure the guys at psi should be able to help

also where is the help from others on here that have bought these half assed looms
surely they should be here telling u all the problems they run into and how to fix them
cause we have had to fix afew import looms in the past and by the time its all sorted the price difference isnt that much and u still have an ugly duckling loom hehehe

I used a painless loom on my LS1 which was for a C5 vette with the DBW and it worked a treat. I just made sure I used the parts they listed to use in their manual I.E coolant temp sensor.
Was very straight forward and not as you say "an ugly duckling" I don't believe. hehe fn he.

yes if u buy a complete kit there is no problems
the only problems u might run into is if pedal fails u need to order a corvette one from usa
the ugly looms are the gmmp ones that eagle sell or ones thru the internet
ive done afew and in the end the bill was more than me supplying and fitting them

painless is abit more expensive but i find a better product as if i had to choose a full body loom kit i would choose painless before the others i use their trunk mount kit these days costs abit more but fusebox sits in boot perfect for hot rods
i wired up the green cortina in the latest street machine which was a pain caus every little room

anyway i can pick the **** out of most stuff out there and people can pick the **** out of our looms its just the way things are in life

the main thing is mixing and matching parts can cause headaches and there are some small issues where people may sometimes get stuck
we have reflashed alot of ecus from the usa because they dont work perfectly with aussie accell pedals or people buy ecus from usa and flash aussie tune right over the top
which can cause issues too
it took me ages to find someone who will cut up looms from a ve for me
it costs abit but sometimes when u need something desperately u got to pay for it

if u dont want any problems buy a ve v8 pedal then its garanteed to work

Yeah there are a few on there, but they all have different part numbers. From what I can narrow down, there are 2 ve part numbers for the black pedal and one for the alloy pedal. At the end of the day I would have thought they are all just a variable voltage 0-4v. I guess the sweep is different?

I just through my harness on the car to check all the other plugs fit. No other problems. Just the alternator will change because I am using a denso 1 wire and also no oil pressure plug, but not an issue cause i have after market. Actually fits pretty well for an off the shelf.

Good to hear that it fits nicely. Does it have a MAF sensor plug on the harness at all ?

Yep, and fits fine. The cam sensor tricked me a bit. It didn't fit at first but then I realised there was a sub harness on there that had to come off.

Do some not have map? That's odd I would have thought MAF would be missing before MAP.

Sorry, looking on my phone and misread it.

I am using a factory ls3 sensor that had previously been run with the ECU I have. The plug in the harness fits this sensor.

I spoke to the local Holden dealer today. They have 2 pedals listed, 92238396 which is a standard black pedal and then the alloy pedal (didnt ask part number). The price was reasonable, $85 for the standard pedal and around $113 for the alloy. 4blok have to be joking at the prices they are asking. Apparently the standard pedal is the same on the v6.

I ordered the standard pedal as it is only $20 more than the cheapest used one on eBay and if it doesn't work properly I might be able to swap it if I keep it in new condition.

You were right sideshow about the plug, only available as the loom. I will just go to the wrecker or send an email to psi with a picture and see what they can get. Google tells me the sam pedal part number is used in the caprice police cars in the states.

Zedn,
I am in the states at the moment. If you need a plug give me the part No and I will see what I can get.
Cheers

Thanks for the offer, but I don't actually have a part number. Will just get one from the wreckers.

Just to update this.. I contacted psi conversions today and the support was great. I sent an email with a few questions as well as the pedal and got all my questions answered in response in about 20 minutes. Great support.
