Weber style Electronic fuel injection

Greetings all;
Met an interesting fellow called Kerry Mitchell the other day after inquiring about an efi set-up for a windsor small block. The add appears in the latest edition of Motorsport News and the efi has come off the top of a GT 40 (Roaring Forties).From what I can gather this bloke is quite gifted. He has designed and manufactured these things himself and I dont need to tell anyone that the sight of 8 trumpets rising from the manifold is dead -set horn!!. I think he has about 6 sets left.
The reason he's selling this is that he's dropping a Lexus V8 into the GT 40 coupled with a Subaru box, and naturally this will have his efi set-up with some extractors. He showed me a magazinne that featured his work and this combination produced approx 400 bhp. All up the GT 40 will have shed approx 60 kgs and gained some more giddy up ,I think he said its about 960kgs wet with the Toyota. He's obviously a fan of the lexus motor as I counted 5 of them in his shop.....all sold too.
In his spare time he is building a Replica of a very late model Le-mans BMW from a model that could be bought from a newsagent!!.He allready has the V12. Its one of those open top things that look like those Mercs that Mark Webber drove a while back,its very very serious.

After all that, is there anyone else out there that loves these induction set-ups and knows who else makes them and which computers run them. I do know DC&O in NSW do a system for fords.
Anyone running these sytems, could you offer some advice on them?

Chris, I had a really quick look in M/S News last Friday, but didn't look too closely at the photo, but it appeared to me to be the DC&O system.

The mag article you're talking about, was it Bob Romano's late model Falcon? If so, I believe that's also the DC&O system.... If that's not the article, which mag article was it?

With regards to the BMW replica, did he mention that he's building it with a guy named Keith Peters? Does he have any ties with a trailer manufacturing company? I'd be very interested to hear if it's the same car!

This systemis not a DC&O set up. This bloke(Kerry) had the fuel rails running on the inside of the trumpets, I believe DC&O run them on the outside and besides he showed me other castings of unfinished manifolds & throttle bodies ready for machining.He says its better to point the injectors straight at the inlet valve if you can and reckons the rail has to be inside to do it properly?. I hope that sounds right because I'm no mechanic thats for sure!. As for your other questions I'll get back to you on those.

HI Chris,
I have the DC&O set up on my small block ford. There are some pics in my gallery.

I have had no problem, I run on throttle position with a M48 Motec running the show.

I have changed the linkages from the ball and socked to rod ends, $50.00 worth of bits.

I run the US Imagine setup coupled to a MoTec M800 on my 347.

The biggest drawback with my setup is the skill of the driver!!

I figured someone else must be driving it because your skill didn't seem to be slowing up 03 to any great extent! Weren't too many quicker than you at Wakefield, old man. This oriental modesty must be catching!
