Dimis - thanks mate; you sound as excited about the car as I was when I found it for sale. I sent a link to the video to a mate saying something like "This is the type of Cobra that makes my heart skip a beat". I just can't get enough of the way it sounds at idle. Just off idle it gets a bit of a crackle with the compression. It's not setting off car alarms in my unit block, so it mustn't be too loud!
The guy in the video is Jeff, who I bought the car off. You're right, his leg looked super close to the pipes, but that was a cold start so the pipes wouldn't have been at full heat. Not like when I stuck my arm under them to fix the mounting bracket and gave myself a nice new birthmark on my wrist...
Craig - it was a bit of a surprise to me too. I am officially banning myself from car sales sites for a while.

Craig I hope you're not trying to tempt Mike north of the border. Besides I'm not sure he would be deemed suitable or eligible for full membership of your exclusive little club. 
Compulsory prerequisites, candidates must be able to answer in the affirmative to be eligible for membership:
- Is your cobra a left hooker?
- Is your cobra at least 30 years old?
- Is your cobra red?
- Are you related to the president of said club?
