Sorry, but considering all the work Peter did in the media, which was enjoyed by motoring enthusiasts, I think the title is a cheap shot!

I'm not sure that the title "Cross dresser in a Cobra" is a cheap shot.

Peter Wherret was an avid cross dresser...for that matter, so was his Father...and in fact Peter lived the last few years of his life as a woman...PIP Wherret.

If he played football...and the title was "Footballer in a Cobra" would that be a cheap shot ?

Maybe ...no biggy I guess .

Must be old. $10 - $40k to build one and an original over $80k if you can find one!

I’m sure at some stage Peter gave money to the Red Cross or some other charity so he could just have easily been referred to as a ‘philanthropist in a cobra’. IMHO it was just unnecessary, particularly considering the great work he did for the motoring community via RCN and Torque.

This is the first I have heard of Peter being a cross dresser, but a quick look at google does not seem to show him hiding it. Quite the contrary

I had a Sigma Turbo for a short time and some people thought it was a Wherrett Sigma... Even the local Mitsubishi dealer did not believe me that it was a factory original.

Maybe he would relish the idea of being known as a cross dresser in a cobra (?)

I have given thousands of dollars away to charity, do they call me a charitable man? No.

I rooted one goat, yep, they call me a "Goat Rooter"

P.S, the second statement is not true, simply said for a laugh.

I know that you can get lonely out in the bush Dave.
I am sure you only associate with the good looking goats.

Dude you're not alone:
Things went from baaaaa-d to worse.

Robert Newman, who was banned from all farms in the United Kingdom in August after he admitted to having sex with a goat, will serve a six-week jail sentence for attacking the animal.

The North West Wiltshire magistrates’ court on Thursday "activated [an] eight-week suspended sentence and jailed Newman for six weeks for the goat attack," according to the Metro. The sentence will be served along with a previous sentence for burglary.

According to the Mirror, Newman must also register as a sex offender.

Newman initially denied that he had sex with the goat, but later changed his plea. The animal required veterinary care after the sexual assault.

In a court statement, the goat's owner said that the incident has caused a financial burden. In addition to the cost of vet fees and antibiotics for the goat, she said that "[Newman] cost us a considerable amount of money because we have had to install security cameras... My husband is worried about me being on the farm on my own."

Perhaps this is the reason the NT government has made moves to establish goat rape crisis centers?

My old man used to tell me to stop "acting the goat", but it probably means something else up there.
