Bernie wasn't giving him the love he deserves.

No need for a dedicated Aussie moderator IMHO.
We may ***** and throw stones, but I find we do pretty well moderating ourselves, and typically after the initial heat is out of it, we're down at the pub sharing a bear.
I get the feeling the water is already under the bridge on this one.
Wazza is married, damaged is almost registered and there are plenty of pics for everyone. So everyone is happy!
Thanks to Wazza and damage for having the sense to move on.

I wouldn't be too sure about that.
"Mate" seems to have a different meaning here in the US. Here it means friend or buddy.
And then there's "bun fight." I picture you guys throwing hot dog and hamburger buns at each other.
Maybe an Aussie mod could interpret the meaning of these ambigious words and phrases.

Just an update ordered some parts for some of the finishing touches, just have to wait for them to arrive, new Fast XFI COMPUTER should be here anyday so I can get working on this engine again. Been playing with different toys with my side pipes to make them quite for my noise testing so will be good to get this thing started and run a noise test to see how it goes.

Finally got around to picking the car up from the suspension shop.
The missus made one of those photo collages for me.
Hopefully the computer for the EFI turns up today and I can get it running next week and then off to the exhaust shop for CATS and some silencing of the horses
2 weeks and I go for my lane change manouver etc so I'm racing the clock to get things finished

She is a beauty!
So I'm guessing you would have spent close to $150K on this car when finished?
and this is probably excluding all your own labour

That would be quite conservative, things of such beauty cant be discussed in these terms, it does not apply.
Cheers

I had a couple of hours free to work on the car today so I started finishing up on some of the fiddly jobs that I've been avoiding.
Decided I'd tackle the hand brake light switch, I had a bracket and switch but didn't like the bracket because the switch didn't always contact the the hand brake arm so I came up with something a lot simpler using a small water proof micro switch.
This is the switch.

Mounting it was pretty simple I just bolted it to the chassis so it switches directly from the hand brake tensioner. It's pretty simple and it works a treat.

This was the last job in the gearbox area so I installed the centre cover gear stick and gear stick boot cover.

I've been searching the net trying to find some hinge covers the Kirkham hinges are nice cause they're identical to original so the original style hinge covers should fit.
This is the standard Kirkham hinge I've started making stainless steel components for the anti intrusion bars so that's the plate on top of the hinge plate.

And this is the hinge covers I found there fibre glass and fitted perfect even with the additional plate for anti intrusion bars.

Once I have the bars in and the doors reupholstered I reckon this will all look pretty neat.

Are you trimming inside the door with a door card of some sort, or are you going to make a feature of the stainless side intrusion bar? It would look good polished up!
