Need new tyres, size 205/60R15 - what do you suggest?
Hi All,
Need to buy some new tyres for the front end, size above.
Will just be used for cruising and everyday driving. What brands and types does anyone recommend or suggest to stay clear from?
Thanks

Hey Chook, I'm the resident rubber grub so I'd best give some imput.
What make & model car?
Who'll be doing most of the driving ? Male/Female ?
Do you like them ?
What sort of budget?
How many tyres ?
FWD/RWD ?

There are plenty of good tyres to choose from in 205/60R15.....Pirelli P6 are great, and there's Michelin XM2, Continental, and plenty of others. I would look at the Pirellis for grip (wet and dry), longevity, and they are usually at a good price. I've had Pirellis on three cars, always good performers.
But, what do you have on the rear? Are they OK? Always good to have all the same (unless the rears are rubbish).
Cheers,
Glen

i heard i was going to be president of the US one day, didn't happen. I have used BFG TA's for a long time. No 15" tire will harness a 500 hp engine. They look incredible on a cobra with the smooth side wall between the words, wear like iron. sure if you are going to track jump to 17 or 18" wheel. I love BFG TA's, reasonable priced if you like burn outs, era correct and good ride.

Thanks guys for sharing thoughts.
Rog - 96 DRB, me (male), $150 each, 2 front tyres. M/T Sportsman S/T rears 235/60R15s. Thoughts?
Glen - Yes i thought Pirelli's too, and also the Kumho range...
Itempany - yes there are a few threads about that I've read. I love the sidewall look hence going for the Mickey T's for rears, over the BFGs, which i've always loved for previous 4WDs I've owned.
I need this size specific primarily for engineering/rego purposes.
