Thanks for the pics Hail - the yellow looks great!!

What are the two engines at the end - Ford vs Chev? Were you thinking about using an LS before going with the Toyota?

Are AP building the car for you?

Cheers

Tony

Thanks fellas...

Hi tony, the Toyota and chev engines give a comparison to the sizes,
and yes had the chev and also ford in mind but I wanted something newer in design not added to it,
since I have a HQ Monaro I didn't think a new chev engine would be that much more fun that a 350, bullnose , 9in and roll cage would be,
I wanted the new ford engines but got scared off by the development faults, and so a 3uzfe Toyota, and yes Pace are building my kit.

I asked CraIg and his team to detail the body, removing mould flashes and completing the cut-outs.

Nice to see something a little different Hail. Years ago I had a 350 Chev in a Monaro and the modern LS powerplant is a much more refined engine - although the old one sounded better!

Are you going for a traditional look or something more modern with the styling?

Hail...welcome aboard from a fellow Pace 427SC owner!

Being totally honest mate.....your posts are excruciatingly painful and very confusing to read. Can I ask a big favour please? Before you click the 'submit' button, would you be so kind as to slowly re-read what you've composed, then insert a few more paragraphs, sentences and punctuation?

Thanks a bunch!

PS. It's Craig with an i, not Crag.

There's a big difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

So, back to the build thread; I'm looking forward to seeing this come together. First pics indicate it will be a unique combination of drivetrain and options.

Ever been to the garage to fill up, and there is a line, (long weekend rush)
and there is a pump free but its on wrong side?

1. Do you try and squeeze through and hope hose would reach without marking the body?

2. Do you wait while the cars behind you let you KNOW there is a pump free?

3. Do you park for 5 - 10 min while the driver who filled his car up and went looking for the water tap to wash his windscreen?

4. Or do you Ask GraIg to put in an extra filler?

You Guys are really going to hate my bonnet, may or may not go with the add on to the steering wheel.

I feel like I am reading a text version of a hidden picture and a sailboat will appear.

Good work with pics, share your bonnet plans, always good to see builds.

Hail427 04-28-2014 04:08 AM

I wanted the Daytona bonnet recess, CraIg thinks its not a good idea but I have my reasons.

Hail427 04-28-2014 04:13 AM

thax Leroy17 you made me lol I was fiddling with pics at around 2 or 3 in the morning
and thought I was creating art, but alas my fellow forum peers think I`m an ass, he who is without sin through the first stone!
