Here are some pics.

the last two pics are because my handbrake cable broke. It seems the place that made the cable did what looks like a hand-solder job on the end that hooks into the handbrake lever, and that eventually failed.

The 1st of the last two pics shows the failed end. The 2nd of the last two pics shows the machine-made welded end which is going in to fix it proper, like it should have been done the first time. I will withhold the name of the place that made the original (wasn't me!)
