Given a Tassy car would first land in Melbourne, is there value visiting one of the engineers here that may also hold cross border approval permissions.
Many have used Enklemanns here and even as a comparator it wouldn't hurt to see what they'd charge.
Just a thought.

Why not try one of the SnakePit Cobras (theres one on Carsales) which can be registered in any state without need for engineering etc.
They are the "Coca Cola" cars.
I know the owner of this one for sale and he is very fussy and has looked after it well - Note: the stripes are vinyl that he added.
Cheers Gregg

yes forgot to mention they are a DRB built by Snakebite , Who I don't believe are around anymore (happy to be corrected).
They were built under the Low Volume Compliance scheme which meant rego in any state as if it were a "normal" holden/ford etc.
Cheers Gregg

Two similar names. The DRB with national compliance was from Snakepit.

[quote=Dimis;1300233]Is this engineer seeking to find a away to pay his HECS bill?
It's been certified, and approved meeting a national code and regulations.
I would have thought nothing more to it than that! QUOTE]
Dimis, It would be great if a national code and regulations for these cars existed in OZ. I personally would be very happy as its been my focus for the last 11 years.

Deano, get a list from SA roads authority of all the engineers available to you. They seem to charge a variety of prices and what you've been quoted is getting up there.
Also buyer beware of Gforce kits, that aren't on Gforce chassis and on toyota crown chassis. Not knocking the crown chassis but the resale value of these are poor and you would not want to pay Gforce chassis price when in fact it's a crown chassis. I came across two of these on my travels, and one seller had no idea.
My 2c, good luck

Hey Dean,
I know of a certain Harrison with a nice little LS1 which may be of interest.
This was originally engineered, compliance approval and registered in SA.
My understanding that this would be a case of just re-register and no need for re-engineering as the approval is completed ( have all the paperwork). If there is anyone knowledgeable and wants to comment.
Cheers.
