mmmm half price is a good idea...
I've been toying with bringing the newly build Rush for a fang, the main problem is getting two cars down there

The rush can stack in my trailer Greg. It's small enough!
Perhaps this year is a good idea at one of the dinners as a group to discuss costs and numbers. The reality is as numbers decrease costs go up. We love this event and are lucky to have it locked in over the long weekend for so long but something may have to give.
Numbers are again down this year it seems (Gavs fault as he's not coming) and the NSW club bears all the weight of any net loss. I know the QLD club chip in but perhaps an overall rethink to keep the nats the great event it is.
Numbers pay the bills so if we can increase the numbers as a state and then national level we all benefit. I enjoy the events fun social status but it can't stay that way if numbers decrease as the NSW club won't be able to subsidise it.
It's a great event but needs the participation to make it viable. Kim will be able to tell us how numbers went this year but I'm pretty sure they'd let my mum and her Gemini in at this stage to help boost the $s.

Thanks for the offer Matty Is your trailer 2 stories?
I'm really thinking that there's probably insufficient time between classes, especially on Saturday, to run two cars. Maybe I need to add to the pit crew....my old Dad's coming along he had such a good time 2 years back. Get him on the tools!

Greg, Paul G often runs his lawn mower and his 40 at the same meet BUT that generally is more out of necessity than design. Poor bugger.
I think the 40 is getting its legs stretched this year. Be nice to catch up with your dad again. See u Thursday.

Yeah Dave still around, and she has not improved much, still as thankless as ever.
It was her birthday last month and she didn't like the gift I gave her.
She gave no thought to the fact that I went to a lot of trouble to colour co-ordinate the whipper snipper with the mower I gave her last chrissy.

Why go to the trouble of bringing / racing on 2 sets of tyres?
If someone was serious then wouldn't they put the best set of semi slicks on an (obviously) registered Cobra and go for King Cobra?

This in last night from Kim Down re extension to the Nats cut off date:
Hi Guys,
as we would like to maximize the field of cars for the 21st Cobra Nationals, we have decided to extend the cut off for entries until Wednesday next week (1 October).
If you would like to enter or think you may be able to convince some of your friends to enter, you have a little more time.
We are still looking for volunteers and have merchandise for sale as well.
See NSW web site: Cobra Car Club NSW.org for Supp regs, entry forms, merchandise flyer.
Many Thanks,
Kim Down

You might be confusing madt2007 with mad94d?
Don't think madt2007 has a cobra yet as he is enquiring about the Pace427
Correct me if I'm wrong

Nah your right David - Mads and Kim should be in class 2 (5 lt). The 15" class 1 hasnt been over subscribed as far as Im aware. Some good numbers in the new class 7 which is Kumho KU36's and engines up to 7000cc. Should be competitive and a lot of fun. Just need to get the car back together....
MadT - come and see me and Ill take you for a spin if you like (no not literally Gav - thought I would beat you to it)
Cheers

I think will Trickett has entered this year so class 2 will be pretty competitive at the pointy end.
