well I got the new beasty, couldn't fit any bigger so had to settle for 50L. Damn it sure is better than the old GMC rubbish, heaps quieter and obviously a much better reg as the air seems to have much more oomph now, even though the GMC was turned right up
thanks all for the input.

Took the wheels off to gain another 50mm or so, every little bit counts when space is at a premium

Looks good Ben.
With the pulley being so close to the wall, just make sure you have adequate airflow over the compressor cylinders. The pulley acts as a fan to pull air over the unit to cool it. Should be ok though.

I'd be flipping it around the other way if it was me. The cylinders get surprisingly hot and blocking airflow to the pulley/fan will not help there.
Another idea if space is at a premium is to mount it outside and build a cover for it.
Cheers

thanks for the tip on cooling I hadn't considered that. I usually only run the compressor to fill it, but if I'm running heavy use tools I will pop it out from the wall for the period.
I looked at mounting it in a box outside but couldn't find a suitable space.

LB,
You are correct, I know my neighbours really well now, first the
compressor, then the water pump, now the electric tooth brush, I think
He has a problem
