Just to make it clear we get no special treatment etc. We sponsor forums, events, etc. to give back to the community. How is this turned into a negative thing?
Now onto opinions...
Spookypt posted his opinion and experience.
Then I posted my opinion and experience.
Two sides of the story and constructive.
That is where it should have ended. But Spookypt took it further with and then I wrote a constructive reply.
Ironically Spookpt and I have no issue with what was discussed. There was a misunderstanding in there and we cleared that our privately. Both of us have a wealth of experience and are what I would call contributors to this forum.
Modena, so I am not welcome here, AP owners are not welcome here we should go and have our own forum? It seems like I cannot disagree with anyone here without getting ganged up on.
And keep in mind what is posted here negatively about AP directly impacts on the financial well being of AP.
I assume everyone here knows the damage Spookypt's post causes to our business if left without a response? We would have a number of owners contact us concerned about the batteries we have supplied. Possible future customers would look dimly at this aspect of our kit and wonder what else they should be concerned about. That sort of damage control costs the business time and money. Much cheaper to nip it in the bud at the source, this forum.

Aren't you glad you came Muddy? It's called a baptism of fire.
Seriously, once the "troppo" season up here-- you know, T20 cricket cyclones heat snakes sunburn hail storms Christmas mosquitos bushfires and tourists getting into strife in the surf -- once all that is out of the way we seem to settle down and for the most part we're quite nice.
Just keep feeding us morsels of your build from time to time and we'll be happy. We're pretty much over being in front of the fan that the **** just hit, a little spotty, it's true, but nevertheless looking forward to the new year and seeing a goodly number of new Cobras emerging into the light.
Merry Christmas.

Nice work. How far is the engine offset to the left? Looks like a couple of inches

Trans tunnel/diff are all offset to pass side
Graig (AP) may chime in here with a more "Technical" answer

There is an offset for the engine /gear box...but it is certainly part of the design.
Many sports cars/performance cars are made with a similar offset ( Including original Cobras).
It helps get all of the "cross weights" correct.
It assumes that in high performance situations there will be one driver/no passenger...and it makes a much better balance race car.
Don't worry...it doesn't mean it's not safe with two people on board.
Cheers,
Warren

Yes...quite right.
The offset not only gives a better balance...making room for the drivers will always be helped with that offset.

Warren

I didn't know the originals were offset. Learning something every day about these cars. ERA definitely offset the drivetrain to the passenger side.

Back to the Holley EFI, do you need to pass an emissions test? It looks sensational.

Yes..............will it?
Ill put the best (cats) I can in, go and have a good tune (the engine ) Will take it to a mechanic/exhaust specialists who can perform 4/5 gas test and see what happens. There's always running E85
Time will till
