LS1 left hand starter

Just a FYI ---
This is a really neat idea for the LS1 using a Quick time steel bell housing
Originally conceived for the Commodore LS1 upgrade where the normally positioned starter and steering box leaves no room for exhaust pipes --by tucking it up under the block on the LHS ,it opens up the RHS for more creative exhausting etc

Sounds cool. I remember seeing someone had done something similar when stuffing an LS motor into a VL coomdore. It was needed to clear steering or something like that.

Not sure but I have a vague recollection the cast iron 5.3ltr LS motors used in trucks had the starter on the left.

All LS engines are the same, I have a 5.3 in my Nova and it is still the same side.

That new bell housing sounds good.
