Things are happening now, Ron saved some money and we bought a stack of parts.
I also grabbed these on my way home from work last night.
Its amazing how every part is now reproduced on a 1966 model car, and so cheaply.
Complete Plenum, upper and lower with all the correct pressings etc.
Rear chassis rails and floor beams.
Boot floor and side extensions.
Other unopened boxs have complete floor from firewall (including lower firewall) to fuel tank, also seat base raised and boxed sections, All engine bay panels (We were not going to replace shock towers, but will now, just to know its all new).
Complete floor seal/rubber bung kit O(old floor was just flat tin sheet, so all these are missing).
Wheels.
Ron has today off work, he is in the shed now unpicking the plenum.

Hard work!
About 15 years ago I purchased a 66 coupe for $800 , a total train wreck.
Went thru similar major rust repairs but decided to make it a convertible ....
Purchased all the right bits including inner windscreen frame etc...
Came up very nice...
Went to a Mustang concourse meet and parked it in general parking...
One of the scrutinisers came up to me and told me what stuffed up I created ...
Asked him what gave it away and he said....not knowing it was a coupe.
Everything was perfect except....
66 didn't come out in Arcadian blue with white pony interior! That was a 65 option ....otherwise it was perfect!
I just smiled and walked away.

Very hot weekend out here, Ron did manage to get some stuff done.
Nothing but the best safety gear
Drivers side floor cut out, almost all trimmed and ready to weld in, needs to trim around the firewall and drill spot weld holes.
Ron is saving money now for more panels to order.
It has also been decided to replace the strut towers too.
You can see two rough repairs on this side.

Yes it was very cheap, $800 for complete car minus bonnet, engine and box.

I'm a bit partial to the old Stangs! I've had a few myself and will probably get another after the Pace is finished! Looks like you have your work cut out for you on this one. My last one was as bad as that. I'll add a pic to keep you motivated. It now lives in Sydney!

It is in the shed, Ron hasn't done a great deal more in a while (he got busy then did a rotator cuff in shoulder) I haven't touched it as I have plenty on the go myself with this RT40 Corona.

It's understandable why Ron hasn't done much if his Rotators Cuff is ripped. The Rotator Cuff is contained in a structure which houses 4 tendents one of which is the Rotator Cuff. That structure of the four tendons is known as the subscapularus. I have just found out that I have ripped my subscapularis tendon entirely in half. That occurred on 8/8/1985 in a motor cycle crash where my right should was driver back into my body almost 2". I had a full right shoulder replacement in 2007 and thought that the pain I have been suffering for the last 8 years was normal. Now I find that this tendent was torn in half 30 years ago, and I have been putting up with the pain ever since thinking it was something that I had to live with. I see the surgeon on 11/8/15. No wonder my tee shots have lost 50% of their length. Operation early 2016, then two heart valve replacements. 2016 is going to be a quiet year.
