No major difference these days between states, we run under a National code, which was driven by NSW. There is still a difference in interpretation by each engineer but usually only on minor items. And also differences where testing facilities don't exist. e.g. in NSW you can use any engine as long as it passes IM240 (ADR 37/01) emissions test, QLD it has to be a verified production engine that meets or exceeds ADR 37/01 emissions without any modifications that degrade it's emissions.
And QLD has now adopted the full National Code for the process and things are much easier, much simpler registration now for us that we now use the same system as NSW.
Also keep in mind that even if a kit brand has been registered here in the past, you may not be able to register that kit brand under the new code.
And personally I would like to see more safety requirements in the areas of occupant safety, brake performance etc. For example, it is why we have 8mm structural side wall on our chassis to better protect the occupants lower body and legs from side impact.

Doc, I will drop you an email with some additional photos of them from our manual resource library. We also have a 3D CAD visualisation drawing of them on the chassis. We have the manual itself and then all the full resolution versions of photos from the manual and other additional images and files. Due to the size of it, it will need to be burnt onto DVD or onto USB stick. Will do you one next time you drop in.

The standard PACE 427 tank is just over 68LT.
The optional long range tank capacity is 92LT.
And we can do even more capacity if required.

The nice thing with our design is you can effectively run any ride height you like and run the wheel in any position in and out you like. Or adjust it front to rear in the wheel arch.
You can also run any amount of turns lock to lock on the steering e.g. 2 1/4, 3 etc. Well we can actually can do less than 2 1/4 for track cars.
We have a very tight turning circle, but if you want to run wide tyres on the front e.g. 275 etc we can adjust that so the tyres do not rub on full lock. You can run 345 etc on the rear if you like.
Same with caster, different bolt on brackets give different casters so you can run 5 degree or run 3 degree etc.
Camber is fully adjustable.
And we are happy to make custom bolt on mounting brackets to adjust any aspect of suspension geometry - anti-dive, anti-squat etc. Even the steering rack height can be adjusted.
It is all very flexible.

There's an idea. A Pace 4.27GB USB stick containing the manual delivered with every kit. How 'bout that Craig?

Brad, I just realised something. This photo might be proof that the AP cars are in the very rare category of Cobras that have hand brakes that actually work!
My car would be wrapped around something at the bottom of the hill if I relied on my handbrake alone...

I was struck by this photograph too.
I remember pulling up in a similar position once and my passenger looked at me inquiringly. I asked if anything was wrong and she said no, it's fine, I can walk to the footpath from here.

Hi Ben
I have just raised the front of the Cobra and it took me all of 15 minutes to do the job.
It took me longer to get the jack under the chassis than it took to raise the front of the car.
But the headrests stay.
Cheers
Brad
P.S. I heard that you ordered a Pace 427 SC is that true ??

Why would I order a Pace? I have been building a Classic Revival for 3 years and it will be driving in a month or three, you must be thinking of someone else.

I did show my woman some pictures of a GT40 today, after I told her its 40" tall and she said "what, off the ground?" "no dear, the entire car is 40" tall", then showed per pics, "oh it looks like a Corvette"
*sigh*
I will probably order a Pace one day, but not a Cobra

Its a sad fact of life that if you were talking about hand bags and shoes to your wife then you would have her undivided attention

so true about the hand brakes on ac cobra's. When i was shopping for a cobra hardly any of them worked. And the first one I found that did work properly I ended up buying. might end up being a collector's item one-day lol. The rear end of a absolute pace looks awesome enjoy.

Awesome Ben! She knows a Corvette is a car! And a sports car at that! I'd say you're on a winner there!

Hi Tony,
I don't mind at all but it looks a bit like a dark grey doesn't it.
It might be a new colour who knows.
I have done 1500 kms in the car total with 1000 kms since it has been registered.
I try and drive it every day and so far I have only missed one day.
Cheers
Brad

Sounds like me. When I purchased my 2000 Drb last year, it had 4500 km on it. Now it is closer to 9500km. If its not raining why not enjoy the car. I have been caught out a couple times with rain and it sure makes for a hair raising experience!
