Thanks Tom. U coming to the Nats this year? Gavs got an itch!
Don good question. We have a fire evacuation plan as well as we will work with rural fire in winter to back burn and we are fully insured. Sadly my tanks wouldn't do much and usually they cut the power so not much help there. It's just a part of living in the bush. But it's pretty bloody wet here so we should be ok.

YES, I would hope a back up Gen is part of the plan! Also, if you have a creek or lake nearby, a gas-powered water pump might be in order as well!

Yep 8kva. I'll run out of water before power. No creeks but the beach is 5mins away. I'll need a long hose for that idea to work!

Sparkles doing it when he wires up my shed. I'll run it at load every 2 mrhs to ensure when the time comes for blackouts it runs sweet.

Very good. And with an auto-switch I would assume.
I certainly don't know your area or regs, but can't you dig a well or two?
Maybe that's what you already do...just curious.

My truck motor turned up ready to be reassembled yesterday.
So god willing I'll be back next year to play at the Nationals
Your not an itch Tommy, beating you was more like the feeling you get from a relieving sneaky fart after a big dinner

Well ive never told you this Gav, but i absolutely blew 2 of my 3 runs in the drags, so i only got in 1 run and i didnt heat my tyres from a burnout as you know, like you did, which you got chipped for, and only then your best time was only 4/100s second quicker than me, a mere front bumper, so if that relieves your colon pressure so be it, you got the trophy that year, but last year with your upsized 416 cid you ran more than 2 tenths slower, i bet you were glad i was not there as i think you might have **** yourself oh and arent you on your 3rd chevy motor,,,, mine has not had a spanner on it since then.
All the best mate

Thanks Craig. Shed finished today except for roller doors fit up Monday.
I spent the best part of 12'hrs today shaping the banks up to the the new driveway. Mongrel job but it'll save me about 6 cubes of top soil so happy days.
Shed is awesome and heaps of room for any one who wants to drop
by.
I had a new trailer coming and today I'm told that they don't want to do it now as it's too specialised so that was a bit of a downer. Gee car trailer with a bed and shower. Yep pretty special! Oh well I have a shed so I'll fly that high for a few years!!
Tommy no trash talk now.... Just come to 2015 nats and go ya hardest!

I wasent trying to hijack your thread mate, you brought it up and gav chimed in gloating. I just wanted to set the record straight to say if you bend the rules by heating your tyres on a track with 0 surface temp, after being told not to, you get a distinct advantage, i should have done the same but as it was my first time with my car at the Nats i didnt want to upset the officials.
End of Story

...and winners will be winners.
And those with big sheds are winners!
As for those with autos... Well never mind...

I can't remember gloating???
Anyway, awesome shed Spook, we have hopefully sold our place (nothing is over til it's over) and I'll be building my new workshop early next year.
I'm watching the shed building threads closely...

Matt, I realise different councils will vary (perhaps significantly) in their charges, but if you don't mind saying, what did you have to pay for planning/approval fees?
