Very nicely done, great looking craftsmanship.
I reckon you must be excited to get started on the assembly!

Dave - you have a similar view from the driver's 'seat' that I do at the moment!.
Making vroom, vroom noises?

Hi All
Yes made it home last night. I really enjoyed the trip across the country. Stayed in some great places, meet some great people. The car misfire just out of Brissy was cured with a set of Coil packs and plugs and the clutch is still dodgy....didn't slip but engagement still not right, I bought a clutch kit in Brissy and put it in the tray just incase it went. The trailer is gold and towed really well, I was very impressed with it and people at Servos and so on commented on the trailer which was strange for me. It's a keeper and thanks to Tow Master (Ashley) for making the pick up so easy for me.

No worries Dave. I'm missing it at the moment with my current project taking longer than in anticipated..... but the old 'do it right the first time' won't let me down this time either.
Hope the build goes well! Make sure to keep the updates and pics coming.
Ash

Made a start on the car, I can't decide which way to go with the body finish so going to leave it as is till after rego. Scary cutting such precise alloy.
Boot lid latch and catch work well. looking for ideas on rear tail lights.

Looks great, at least with Aluminium you only get a little swarf and not fibreglass dust everywhere :-) cheers Gregg

The square red tail lights are easily the best looking I think, if you can swing that with regards to legality it is what I would be fitting.

Pace does a clear version but I'm not sure on that. Would actually just prefer half orange half red. Was thinking about just painting the inside of the clear Pace lense.

I have the twin tail lights and my engineer says I need reflectors as well.
So I put 2 small rectangle ones below the outer boot lid on the body.

Pace supply some little reflectors that mount with the quick Jack. I'm going to run bumpers. Can someone point me to a Supplier?

I believe a gent from WA approached Hella lights who made some custom ADR approved rectangular ones with orange indicator lenses embedded (testing the memory now).

I'll fish through my old mobile to see if I still have his number and text you.
He was a former member on this forum till 2012. Either way I'll PM you his CC profile where hopefully you could get in touch.

Best wishes!

Here in SA I was told I can't use those bonnet handles. To dangerous. So I have fitted the press button style.

Yeah might have to take them off for rego. Decided to leave body as is during the build. After rego I'm thinking full polish. No point trying to brush or polish now while leaning on it, drilling holes and swarf everywhere.

I found a couple of Pro Dzus latches from VPW that have the 2 mounting holes that fit exactly where the handle fits. Part number. PFEQLZ500 BK.
