I know......by the time I unloaded all the gear there was no space
Left in the shed....plus with Gav starting his secret build I had to get in quick...there's no correlation is there???

Is the Ali any thicker these days opposed to the originals? Is it really easy to Ding when leaning over the engine bay etc?

I try not lean over. The car is being built on a 2 poster so easy to lift to right height and work at shoulder level inside the engine bay or wheel well. The body is super rigid, far stronger than I imagined and 1.6mm thick ,no concerns for driving it on the road at all or even leaning or sitting on it.

What are the pros and con of ali over fibre. Or is it mainly original reasons?

Well done Gav, I'm looking forward to watching your build.....tried to get you on the shoe phone today....

Good progress today. I can't believe how easy this car goes together. Had my first sit in and broom broom noises with steering wheel turning...I also can't believe how much room there is inside. I can barely reach the pedals...

Hi Chris, the body is attached to CF support structures and they bolt to the chassis. This makes the alloy body completely removable like all the fibreglass body cars can.

They go together so well, such a pleasure to work on compared to the old days of kit building.

Cheers

one of the reasons i went for the pace . last build spent 12 months finding and buying all the jag bit's i needed.
pre internet days then the next 12 months cleaning reconditioning painting ect then started putting it together .
having almost everything needed come with the car just like flatpack is a great idea and pace need to be congratulated . i vowed and declared i would never build another kit car after the last one . but after not been able to find what i wanted this was the best option for me .
cheers deano

Car is coming along nicely, goes together very nicely. Some rear boot panels next then brake lines and wiring harness layout....
