no idea on weights. Maybe the same as fibreglass body due to the metal birdcage the alloy panels mount on.

Hi xlr8tr
My Pace 427 SC Cobra weighed in at 1080 KG with a 302 Windsor, Iron heads,5 Speed Tremic, engine oil, diff and gearbox oil, engine coolant, and 30 Liters of fuel and no carpet.
This will give you an idea on what the Pace Alumina will weigh.
I believe the Fibre Glass body weighed 48 KGS but Warren can verify this.
Cheers
Brad

That about right.....we'll see when it's done I guess....
It won't be heavy , that's for sure.

Hi Buzz
Yes , the buck is still being finalised . This takes time to get right. Won't be long till pics are flooding the forum. You Americans should lining up for an Alumina with our dollar so weak.
I am currently sorting driveline and looking for a motor. That should keep me quiet for a while.

Dave - you still staying with the faithful few, and looking for a Windsor?
(For those US followers of this thread, the non-faithful majority here go with the dark side for motivation)
Cheers,
Glen

Yes of course, ha haa. I love the Windsor although the Coyote has tempted me a few times. 5.0ltr Windsor with massflo for an old skool look...just ordering an alloy sump and cobra rocker covers from Summit.

Dave,
Sounds like a great build. Do you know how Pace will attach the aluminum body to the frame ?

I believe the alloy panels will be mounted on an infused carbon exoskeleton to support the body and provide the structural mount points. The body will be removable....bought my donor car on the weekend an AU XR8 manual...
PS I could be completely wrong....lol..

Hi Chris
I'm thinking I will full polish then alloy to flaten off so kinda satin alloy.
Here's the ADR37/01 friendly 5.0l and manual gearbox....all runs nice. Will use the factory Ecu and wiring to get passed emissions testing.

I've never heard of Assault Racing Products before. I just googled them and they sound like they have the same business model (but better quality) than ProComp. I'll be really interested to hear your thoughts about the quality of the casting when you get the sump. That price is incredibly cheap!
