My Cobra will not be there, but I will be up at Winton for the duration. Looking forward to it!

Couldn't really ask for better weather at this time of year!
What's the consensus on doing an oil change before/after a weekend like this? My oil is about 8 months old (a few thou kms) but I bought some nice Penrite race stuff a few weeks ago in a Repco sale. If I change it tonight will it need replacing on Monday? I didn't really check the condition last year.
Brakes bled and safety check completed!

My oil was always really black after a track day.
I would change it after for sure.

The age of the current oil sounds like nothing but what is it rated at viscocity wise?
It is continued performance and engine protection under the extremes of racing you need to consider.
And as Ben says, ditch the oil AND filter afterwards.
Have fun regardless!

5w40 Slowy, Nulon product which is Ester based unlike Castrol edge which is no longer recommended by GM. You can still buy the proper Castrol stuff from VW dealerships but it's not always convenient.

I'd ditch it before and after including filters along with your brake fluid.
Winton is hard on your car.

That 'thing' on the trailer, is that Lindseys weapon with the Nascar heart out of Gary Gunns (Riverside Racing) shop in Werribee ?
